    Our non-con SOS on Kenpom is 181. Will be interesting to see where that number lands in March. I'm only bringing this up because at the end of the previous 3 years it was 319, 266 and 223.

    Alabama has always been the juggernaut that SEC fusspots have rallied behind. They're going to have a tough time with this. We were the last team to beat Michigan. They beat Northwestern 50-6, OSU 13-10 and Alabama 19-13. But apparently our win against them just wasn't convincing enough.

    Voters tend to not like teams that can't score. If we had scored 20 more points against Butler and UNC and still lost by the same margins, we'd probably have at least a few votes now. Anybody seeing 46 and 39 for our scores will probably react with "WTF" and be inclined to pick someone else.

    Hopefully he still bleeds crimson and cream if we turn to him. People actually thought he would be another Archie Miller and wanted to see him succeed at this level somewhere else. Well, we're seeing it.

    I've sometimes wondered if Woodson ever watches film of teams that shoot a normal amount of threes and thinks "damn these guys shoot a lot of threes" and then I laugh at the thought that Mike Woodson would ever think he needed to actually prepare for another team.

    I'm looking forward to the end of this game for two reasons: 1) it will be over, and 2) I can take my next shot of DayQuil to fight off this ridiculous cold I've had since Christmas Eve.

    Winning coaches typically don't plan on losing and sucking for multiple seasons. It's why they're winning coaches. A winning coach gets right to work and has that car fixed up in no time. Other coaches complain about it, make excuses and blame the car's previous ownership. You can probably guess which ones our last three coaches more closely resemble.

    But that would mean we gave him 5 years instead of just 4...just think of the optics! Everyone will respect us for being so patient, and the pool of candidates will be so much better because they'll have peace of mind that we'll give them all the time in the world to slowly kill the program and any remaining support it has. Who wouldn't want that?

    We were #15 preseason. That would usually mean an expectation of Sweet 16 or better. Something tells me the donors didn't give Woodson all that money just to go 11-9 and sneak in.
