Michigan is going to put on a show today. It will be a feel-good moment for an ailing program that's going through an historical low point. Meanwhile, people around here will continue to point to the "progress" we've made under this coaching staff.
-
Worst team Michigan has had in forever and they're still going to paste us. This program is absolutely pathetic.

Six players in double figures tonight…not bad, even if it was against the Sixers. And PG's leg is another day closer to being ready...
-
If the Pacers get off to a really bad start (a good possibility), expect a ton of empty seats every game until PG gets back. Fans in Indy, regardless of sport, want nothing to do with a bad team. I just hope any knuckleheads who show up wearing Bulls, Cavs or Heat gear get kicked out of the Fieldhouse, thrown on the street and get muddy water splashed on them by oncoming traffic.

I think we'll catch Michigan off-guard
TheWatShot replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
There's nothing he can do to save his job now. He's done. He'll be a combined 2-6 against OSU and MSU, he has no road wins over anyone decent and they've gotten progressively worse each year he's been there. Add in his astounding lack of awareness with the Morris situation and not knowing where they were playing this weekend and the writing's on the wall. All that said, I fully expect them to beat us anyway. They always do. -
The players listed above will probably be out longer than the timetables given. The Pacers have zero reason to rush anyone back. It's sad how much different things are from a year ago.

Stop with the fire Wilson nonsense

Would Wilson do as well at Minnesota as Jerry Kill has done? I mean, since they played in bowl games from 2000-2008 and that obviously makes a difference... -
(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU

I have yet to hear a valid reason for why Crean NEEDS so many players every year, when other coaches in this league are more successful without having to push the envelope like he does. -
If you knew nothing about the Pacers and read Pacers' Digest, you would learn the following: The Pacers will win 25-30 games this season, maybe winning only 5 road games. George Hill is the worst starting point guard in the league. Roy Hibbert is the worst starting center in the league. The roster has no talent whatsoever. Lance Stephenson was worth 15 wins. Even with a healthy PG, this team would only win about 45 games because they have no talent whatsoever and Lance was so important. David West needs to be traded yesterday to guarantee a higher draft pick. It doesn't matter what happens this season, the Pacers have no talent whatsoever and won't ever have any talent whatsoever unless they get about 4 #1 picks in a row and become a dynasty in the 2020's. (ok, I made up this last one, but you get the idea) Anyone who thinks this board is too rough or "too negative" should check that place out sometime.

Stop with the fire Wilson nonsense

I said from the beginning I would have rather had a coach who had achieved success at a smaller school, whether it was non-AQ or FCS. People acted like an FCS coach wasn't "big time" enough to succeed here. -

Not to get off topic, but it's almost like our moms telling us "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" maybe wasn't the greatest advice we received as children. Even Don Fischer isn't allowed to be critical anymore and has to put a positive spin on everything. It's pathetic. -

I wish I could "like" your comment about 100 more times. We're going on four years of Wilson with no bowl games to show for it. Look what Jerry Kill is doing at Minnesota, that's what I consider "improving a program." A good coach doesn't need 5 years just to break even. -
Tre would probably provide more of a dual threat than anyone else, but every time this comes up I think back to him being absolutely wretched against Minnesota and the coaches sticking with him until it was 35-13. Part of the reason we failed to reach mediocrity and play in a bowl game.
-
Jerry Kill would have been perfect for this job. He preaches ball control, fundamentals and mental toughness, things that have been lacking at IU for some time now. I can understand why IU went a different direction after what happened with Hep, but I actually saw a post from a Minnesota fan today who's growing tired of "only winning 6-7 games every year." :( I'd be shocked if this team won another game. You can't win at this level without at least average play from your QB. We have no one left on this roster who can complete a forward pass. We're done.
-
At least we kept them under 700 yards.
-
That was like watching a game from the Gerry DiNardo years.
-
Do we have anyone else who can play QB? If Diamont can't complete a forward pass we have little chance of getting back in this.
-
I can't figure out if MSU's receivers are fast or if our D is just that slow.
-
This offense is so one-dimensional without Sudfeld.
-
lol
-
Yay!
-
Aaaaand that's why we needed 7 on the last possession.
-
I wish we could have made that a 10 point swing instead of a 6 point swing, but whatever.
-
We're favored by negative 16 points.
-
More hilarity: Minnesota's kicker has missed two extra points today but just made a 52 yard field goal into a strong wind.
