It was apparent most of the year, and still apparent tonight (though this game isn't over yet) that while the program has made great strides since Miller got here, they have a ways to go before they catch up with most of the Big Ten.
I'm not giving up on this team yet, as they've only played one conference series, but as the losses pile up, my hopes for a return trip to the CWS, or even the Super Regionals, are diminishing.
Did last year's team overachieve that much? I get that this team has had a fairly difficult schedule, but there just hasn't been any consistency whatsoever.
If they don't get things figured out soon, they may not even make the tournament.
Two out errors will kill you every time.
Schwarber with an errant throw to first on a surprise bunt attempt extends the inning. Morris gets ahead 1-2 and then hits the next batter. That's followed up by a bases clearing double and Michigan leads 4-2.
LBSU walks off for the second time in three days, 2-1.
IU falls to 9-8. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm just not getting very good vibes about this team.
I can understand basketball officials who get intimidated by raucous crowds and favor the home team.
Football, somewhat, but not to the same extent.
Biased umpires are the lowest form of scum.
Here's what I think you meant to say. Corrections in red:
"No way. Those freshmen are going to be great in 3 years. They're good, fun kids. Let them do their thing."
Punctuation really does make a difference.
What I want to know is what happened after November. We were fortunate to beat LIU-Brooklyn and I had us pegged as an NIT team after that game. I was afraid we'd get embarrassed in New York, but we ran Washington (who went toe to toe with #1 Arizona on the road today) out of the gym and took UConn down to the final possession. We were noticeably better in New York than we were the first week of the season. It seems like ever since we went turtle-mode against Syracuse in the second half we changed for the worse.
