  1. Yeah and both experience wise I mean a 2 for 2 in DK. And then you have hunter who if he chose IU he would be RS his transfer year (that can happen right?) not sure about rules in today’s world....but he has at least 3 yrs of playing left if he can RS. If not he has 3 years and plays 2 if he can beat out penix ( I am very high on him, I think he can be a game changer we want)
  2. We have like 1 scholly left and I would say coaches will pursue hunter Johnson unfortunately. Not to make that sound bad, but I would like to have an experienced Lb line up....but Kirkland had many injuries during his career so that might be why we aren’t hearing or seeing anything. I’d be happy with either but maybe more happy if we could add him to the young Lb core.
  3. He is no longer there. He’s actually at Dental school at IU I believe. I just believe NW is in the running from the family ties and if I remember right he did at least take several Unofficial visits to NW while his bro was there.
  4. I played with his brother who was a year younger than me. The kids are athletic as his brother went from QB to walk on to play safety at Northwestern (played safety towards the end of his HS career).
  5. He’s not a dual threat kid but tested as the most athletic QB back at the opening when he was in HS. He ran for 700+ yards and ran track at brownsburg. He’s not Dawkins or Jalen hurts but he’s not just a pure pocket passer.
  6. As of now he is still 100% committed to IU
  7. Yeah that’s the only thing I see as well and I don’t get why other people don’t get the whole WR thing on other boards. However to be the Hoosier fan going against a boiler...lol (all fun here...we’ve had convos before you and I) I know brohm just signed an extension and has a buyout....I still see him leaving if Petrino doesn’t perform well this next season and is let go. People say he won’t but if I’m brohm and my old college wants me...my hometown wants me...I’m going back and building a monster for them. Brohm is good for the big ten and IU rivalry, but if I’m a recruit I’m still a little bit hesitant, but so far he’s done well.
  8. Yes I have heard stories about him when my cousin was his detail at home and away games. And used to be called by AD to go get him.
  9. We did not make top 5 for jirehl Brock. We made his first top 7. Top 5 include Minnesota, Iowa, northwestern, Purdue and Iowa state. Illinois and IU were dropped. I would say with ivory winters committed the coaches are maybe looking to take 1-2 RBs (that’s including winters) in this class given our depth at RB right now. I would say the coaches are also going to try and do everything they can to try to get Sampson James to at least take a visit. Idk if he will but I’ve heard IU is still in contact with him (I’m from Avon). My only pitch would be come be a one two punch with Ellison or walker depending on who gets the load in the coming years and who stays healthy. OSU will alway be 4 deep at RB (still very good and still productive) but come to IU stay home (like your older brothers should have) and put up big numbers. Here is brocks 247 imo he is either going to Iowa or Northwestern that’s what I feel....my pitch against our little brother is you have a pass heavy HC....markel Jones our up some nice numbers but second season as HC and playbook....brohm will be airing it out like WKU and mike leach https://247sports.com/Player/Jirehl-Brock-46036361
  10. Idk if Craig young was posted but here are the latest “tops” we have made
  11. Made his top 12. https://247sports.com/Player/Rian-Davis-46042215
  12. Yessir. He wants to play DB but knows he will have a package or two when it comes to offense.
  13. Once again not coming off as a rude response.... reece has stated multiple times even after coaches said he would be a QB recruit if he wanted...he knows if he wants to get to NFL he will have to play defense and the coaches like him at DB as well. He told many sites that he will be starting as a DB and coaches have stated that as well. Allen also mentioned he won’t rule out different packages for him to come in and play offense as well as return specialist.
  14. I think It will be Dawkins and Ramsey competing. I’m not going to write Ramsey off yet as some people on social media accounts have. I think the coaches would like to save Penix and RS him, but I mean if he’s the best come end of fall camp then let’s strap up and go. Overall Dawkins gives us more with mobility compared to Ramsey. Passing wise I think I will give it to Ramsey just because I watched the kid throw all season and I’ve only seen highlights of dawkins passing. I think they both are short to mid route passers. Not big arms like Lagow or suds. It will be an interesting summer and fall. And I can tell people will say Ramsey wasn’t accurate....the kid threw and completed 65.4% of his passes....who cares if they were short passes he still hit the receiver and made good throws still at 20 yards down the field. In the end I’ll be happy with either. Dawkins has been quoted saying he wanted to compete and didn’t just want to be handed a job because he’s a grad transfer....so let’s breed some competition. Also look for the coaches to bring in 2 QBs in this next class. Chris Herron will be making an official sometime in May supposedly.
  15. Tronti was passed up by penix by the third practice of spring camp. Penix already knew the playbook, and was making better reads. Tronti doesn’t have that strong of an arm... Ramsey doesn’t either but Ramsey had been more accurate. The main thing is that penix had become very familiar and understood the playbook and jumped tronti within the first couple of practices in camp..... that’s pretty big. I was super excited about tronti when he flipped to us, I wish him nothing but the best as he is a super nice guy and hope he can find a home.
  16. I’m 50/50 I think he ultimately wants to be a WR. However spring game he made some great plays at safety
  17. Jonah Morris is transferring per his Twitter. Thought he had a good spring game in the secondary after making the transition to defense.
  18. The kid plays in a small division not great talent comes from it but I don’t care....you can’t teach speed, size (for a RB he is a young tevin), and from tape he has great vision. He is a diamond in the rough I think great 3* add
  19. No not as of right now there has been no word on leaning or waiting for offers. But with his Nike rating he just got he will probably be receiving more and more offers. However, I believe he is solid on his word, but then again like you said recruiting is tricky and confusing. Like I mentioned tho...his dad is all for Coach Allen and IU. He quoted his sons tweet and he tweets about IUNIT19 all the time. It’s nice to have the parents excited for the kid.
  20. Btown, That’s what he has done since I’ve joined here. He makes his snarky comments and relays them to realistic views for football. His opinions and views are always right. If you’re an over zealous football fan then something is wrong with you and your views are wrong. Anyway...brass...Lagow made really no plays outside the pocket. This guy can. This guy fits what DeBord has ran in his most recent years. So there’s that and that’s what I was saying. If I’m wrong brass then prove it. Saying to caution about passing stats....nobody ever said he was a pro QB that sits in the pocket and throws 35-50 passes a game. He’s a dual threat guy and typically your non superstar QBs are not completing a high percentage of passes. He makes plays and opens the game up like we have wanted in the past. That’s all anyone is saying they are excited about.....coaches have said there will be competition still. He said two weeks ago he wants competition so.....we don’t even know if he will be the starter. I think people are excited at the fact it’s an older QB that is experienced in some big games.....do I need to mention we have 3 QBs on scholly...once again...that would be addressing the depth issue we have right now..people are excited to possibly have a starter that can make plays with his legs and extend plays....I think all btown is saying is you can’t compare these two QBs based on throwing stats and then say oh watch out he isn’t what he’s made out to be....this kid can run and like I said extend plays...I never said anything about passing numbers because physically and game playing wise they aren’t in the same category. No they aren’t great (air numbers) but if you’re looking at them to compare then you have to look at Lagows ability to extend plays and run. Which he really couldn’t do. Why look at running because that’s the threat Dawkins brings. He’s not just a thrower. My long snarky comment and realistic post is over.
  21. Yeah because Lagow made plays outside of the pocket and knew how to feel pressure. The kid ran for over 1500 yards and had 20TDs rushing. He made plays. Might not be most accurate guy but he can open the game up in different ways. Nobody ever said that this guy was the bomb or quick fix to 10 wins. It’s another QB on scholly that we have who had success at a power 5 school. We only have 3 QBs on scholly which is extremely low if you didn’t know.
  22. From what I’ve read he might have to sit out. But others I’ve talked to say they thought he would still be eligible to play this year
  23. Transfer from western Michigan originally from ft Wayne. 3 Star kid out of H.S. zenden dellinger
  24. Yup lol once I read your first comment it all clicked in my head. Totally forgot about that rule. Minds been on football as of late lol
