Would appreciate some thoughts and prayers as my pup child aka Indy was dropped off for surgery this morning to have a growth in her small intestine removed and an exploratory abdomen surgery. Thank you you in advance.

Then to quote myself....there’s always that slim chance he could flip back....his family was very high on coach Allen. And to be honest Larry fedora isn’t in the best situations down there....he’s somewhat on/off the hot seat right now. Basically a butt cheek on each seat. People thought after that 11-3 season it would be smooth sailing....last season was very disappointing for them down there
-
Yeah it stinks, but we have some other WRs we are after and it’s hard to turn down hometown school after UNC offers......wish him the best for sure.

I wanna know who the DL were lol. Those are some big boys hitting those numbers

I am going to say Whop and Riggins

(2019) WR Emery Simmons - Decommit
lucel15 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Just keep in mind coach Allen did a good job of keeping and signing kids who committed last year. We basically signed our whole class on the first day or early signing. It’s football recruiting it is always fluctuating. You’re bound to lose some here and there but coach Allen and co showed that even if you flip or decomitt they will still go after you if they think you are talented enough. Just think about Cam Jones from this past class. -
(2019) LB Kervens Bonhomme to IU

He reminds me of a bigger tegray. Already 230.....he’s pretty athletic as well. I’ve read way too many interviews to remember where they will play him but I think he can be either inside or outside. -
(2019) TE Gary Cooper to IU

He’s only 6’1” and that is probably why he is ranked so low or lower than one may think given his offers and his offers were legit and comittable according to his coach. Oklahoma was once really recruiting him hard. His tape speaks for itself. Yes it’s a highlight film, but an interview with his coach....and he said he’s one of the most athletic/gifted players he’s seen in his 18 years down in Miami. His blocking is very good and has great footwork when he engages in a block. Honestly if he focuses on getting stronger starting now....he could see the field early and often next year. He’s already a bulky kid with speed get him to the next level against a LB and DB/S....it’s game over. Seems to be very football intelligent....when he runs his routes they are a little rounded off and not very precise, but if you notice he’s always looking for that window for his QB to hit him in. -
He will be apart of the OL group. Our DLine recruits right now would be and this is my take on how and who we have gone after or would like to have....remember we could find more later this summer... 1. C.J. persons (I think he is wanted as a nose tackle or interior lineman) 2. Sio nofoagototo’a spelling is probably off. 3. Norell Pollard has come up recently 4. Kristian Williams could be 2 or 3. Has performed well at many camps this summer. Oline will Be JD Duplain, Jarrod Hufford, Kaleb Boateng. DBs I think we are done with Tracy might take 1 if a top target wants to commit, but look for a safety to be a top priority. Then a smaller rb/slot type guy. QBs I would say....Chris Herron and David Baldwin are top priority.
-
Let me take a little look later today at the list of recruits.....if anything I would say our best bet at another verbal this month would be C.J. person who was on campus this weekend as well.

Honestly a surprise get today. Rumors were it was Pitt by far
-
And go ahead and bump that to 47 overall. 11 in Big ten.

Great get for an interior lineman -
Semi-Odd eh screw it very odd lol, but I think in the long run Hoosier fans will be happy. Funny how things always bring you back home. He wanted to get out of Bloomington that’s why he backed out of IU. Everyone thought it was UK all the way. Well they had a few athletes join. He took too long....then I believe due to injuries and poor senior year...some school reserved the right to take others and he was an early enrolle. So he went out to Pima and it sucks that a program is being dissolved but hey the coaches had to at least still see something or saw hey let’s get him in here with ballou and rhea....and see if we can get him back into the shape of things like his junior year. He’s not the flashiest running back...some people say he was deemed too slow....I saw him play his junior year in person....kids pretty athletic and built....and he’s pretty fast. Not 4.3 or 4.4 but I’d say 4.55 or 4.6. Get him in the weight and speed room and ballou and rhea will fix that. I like our backfield for the future 3-4 years
-
He was at Pima Community College. Enrolled after early graduation. This comes after Pima announced next season or year they are dissolving their football program

Interesting stat here. And I know on this and several IU football boards....there are people who say he isn’t a passer or didn’t perform very well....you’re right he’s not a kid who’s going to go out and toss 60 yard dimes like sud. But he’s pretty accurate around 10-25 yards which I am fine with because I feel like we have some dynamic WRs. He completed 65.4% of his passes. Yes he didn’t read options very well but in my honest opinion that’s not his game he isn’t a runner (he has wheels when he gets in space, but he’s not going to make a ton of people miss and doesn’t necessarily have a dual threat running vision) but the stat above is pretty nice and tells a story he can buy time if a play breaks down or like it says.....long developing pass play....let’s bring in Dawkins and have some nice friendly football competition at the QB position.
-
I mean 192 for 6’ is pretty decent. Nebraska is getting more involved....Baylor and TCU were involved but they both have taken QB verbals already. Kansas State is still involved Penix came into camp under 200 and he’s 6’3”.
-
Chris Herron received a crystal ball for IU from a Texas hs football area writer. I’ve mentioned Herron before. He’s not tall.....6’0”. But he reminds me a lot of Reece Taylor. And speaking of Reece I believe he will have more of an offensive role.... I’m thinking slot/wildcat QB instead of DB like what was talked about around signing day. Now back to Herron. He’s a dual threat guy. Has good pocket awareness and can escape pressure. If you watch his hudl videos to me he has a pretty smooth release...he’s no suds....but he has some nice 40-50 yard dimes where he leads the WR and keeps him in stride. Overall coach Sheridan is doing great work. From my google search.....it looks like herrons hs and plays in one of the larger if not largest division in Texas football. That’s pretty big. Here is his 247 https://247sports.com/Player/Chris-Herron-46036137

Michigan state will be hard to beat. But it sounds like with just the camp this past weekend coachs made an impression. And we have shot up his board.

(2019) DE Beau Robbins to IU
lucel15 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
I would say Williams is more of an IU get right now. He’s been very high on them from interviews I’ve seen and he will be a scales type of player and that’s what coaches are pitching to him -

Allen I think is already better. Yeah Wilson got us some attention and he got some great recruits...not saying he was bad by any means ...but the guy ran off so many big time QBs and other recruits we were afte and actually close to getting....basically the families didn’t like him and the kids ended up hating the one on ones with him. Let alone how he mis managed the roster (even if he was still here he left a lot of holes for this staff to fill....especially at Lb last class....OL is/was slim)....and for a QB guru with Bradford....he didn’t get sudfeld....what’s his face (litrell) did. Ran off lytle (QB) peters we had a good shot with (family friends) he left a lot of big holes, luckily Allen and Co have done a great job and hopefully this is just the beginning. I’m fine if Purdue does great with recruiting it makes football relevant here in the whole state. If we can land Kirtz (NW probably), Cameron Williams (LB from merriville), Craig young, and Kiser (long shot ND and PU are leaders I’d say). Maybe OL from up north...I’d call that a win...Sampson James they are still in contact with. However we know they will hit Florida hard. -
Ruke Orhorhoro has a top 4 we made it with some big boys again. Has only played 1 season of football

Looks like Pruitt sat down with DK and his family....might not transfer after all
