He’s an under the radar recruit from an offer standpoint. From middle of nowhere USA. He turned heads at St. Louis regionals and his trainer is best friend with DeBoer. DeBoer went to go see Crenshaw at beginning of the month.....basically didn’t like what he saw. Hunter made the elite 11 finals. UCLA and OSU will be involved most likely.

Right now Williams seems to be all go IU. Recruiting the heck out of top targets. Buford will be a tough get in my opinion. But hey let’s go

It’s good we should be getting an official. He already took a Tennessee official. I would say top 4 or 5 to get officials are. Tennessee (obviously), Michigan, IU, Iowa, northwestern. That’s my take.

He is going to enroll and be eligible this fall, but he could’ve changed classes to next year. Glad to get a somewhat experienced DL since we will have youth there inside. And I’m just saying what I’ve heard from friends and family in and around IU football....Boone is targeted for size and his speed together compared to other backs. Don’t shoot the messenger

Michigan has talked to him in passing and supposedly ran FB type player.....big colleges don’t see him as a RB due to his speed......I think he’s a fantastic player but unless IU’s plan A, B and probably C players fall through then I don’t see him getting an offer for full ride. Unfortunately IU is in the game with some highly productive and competitive running backs as well... Peny Boone, teammate of Rashawn Williams, he’s closing in on an announcement and right now things have heated up for IU in regards with him.....he’s 6’2” 225 and has an explosive side that coaches want to see. Again it’s not Charlie’s size it’s his speed from what I’ve heard. Also, I could have seen an offer had he been in last years class or the year before that one.....fill a signing class type thing, but with this class it will be one of the smaller signing classes IU has had in recent years. It will be full of Oline players a few DL, LB, DB 1 or 2, QB and a RB and maybe another 1 or 2 WR and of course possibly a TE. That’s just where IU is today. Due to holes from past classes. If Charlie gets an offer great I’d be happy to have him play for IU, but right now he’s not on a lot of coaches boards.

Yes....he was probably done and over injuries, could be a Willis type situation where he said he was graduating came back for his last season. However I don’t think we have a spot left and hopefully coaches will do their best to help

I understand the frustration on this, but being from Avon, I’ve heard his offer wasn’t a committable one. Good for him and wish home the best. I believe IU will still play a role in his final decision. If you ask me it’s his height right now. His strength is given, but he’s not a DE player he would be a DT in our system. And given our recent targets it seems that coaches are trying to get length and size combo for inside. Nathaniel is a great kid!

I understand your standpoint and get all that here is what quick breakdown I can muster together. I’ll just start with incoming/frosh and the names towards the end will be older guys Minor most likely won’t be playing another down for the Hoosiers DT/NT- 1. Sio Nftomgonaoaksjdjsje (spelling way off haha) 2. Antoine Whitner from my understanding will be like a Stevie Scott, but will most likely end up on the D side of the ball now 3. CJ Person 4. Jonathan King will be more inside guy not DE 5. Gavin McCabe will be inside guy 6. Juan Harris 7. Brandon Wilson 8. Shamar Jones 9. Jamar Johnson DE/EDGE 1. Jeremy Passmore 2. Beau Robbins 3. James Head 4. Madison Norris 5. Gavin Everett 6. Michael Ziemba (heard he’s having a great offseason) 7. Alfred Bryant 8. Tramar Reece 9. Allen Stallings these are the names we will see for the future. I also didn’t list walk on guys, and I think there were like 4-5 more guys That fall in that category. And out of the list I compiled we lose 2 to graduation......other than that....it’s a bunch of young talent. Ik you always want a nice depth chart for DLine, Getting Juan Harris back will help a lot in terms of experience. I still only see 2-3 DLine. And that’s just because we will take 4-6 OLine, I expect 1 RB, 1-2 WR, 1 TE, 1 QB, 2-3 DBs, maybe another LB or athlete of such.

We will probably only take 1-3 DL. I’ll say only 2, 3 if we land Cole Brevard. FYI we have 16 DL on the roster now (not counting Minor). We lose 2 DEs and 1 DT in Brandon Wilson, maybe another if Jerome Johnson leaves, but DL is full of young guys. Expect a small class that is highlighted by 4-6 OL recruits. Class I say will be 15 and with possible attrition like usual maybe 17. Getting Juan back helped us out and we might add an early enrolle that has decided to leave Oklahoma.
