Got some CBs on 247. Hoosiers have been on him for some time now. Teammates of Sio, bonnohome, and current verbal nose guard sparks. Kid has some great pass rush ability. Really gets off the line and sheds blocks. https://247sports.com/Player/Geri-Theodore-46079955/

Game Thread: 09/21 12:00PM ET Indiana vs UConn BTN

He’s done for the season. Definitely a dislocated ankle. What is like to see is for him to come back. He moves to right guard next season. You have a line from left to right Bedford. Beery. Crider. Cronk. Jones. -

On another note Tiwan Mullen might be our best cover DB. He looked great yesterday. Cam jones is hungry and looked great as well. Lino ball has disappointed. -

Arm strength in this argument isn’t how far you can throw the ball....it’s how you can get it in the window....it’s if you can get the ball to the WR in time for him to make moves and get yards after the catch. Ramsey doesn’t allow WRs to get the ball and make moves he’s a good QB, but he doesn’t allow you to do a lot against athletic defenses. It’s plain and simple. Many football coverage people who have been to practices have stated that. Many commentators have commented on that matter. You have to allow your WRs to make plays. Yes Ramsey can complete passes, but eventually you need to hit them and stride and let them do what they can do. For example the pass to DHale....hale had to completely stop....if he leads him and throws it on a deep rope.....or even a rope to him in stride....it’s a TD. I believe we ended that drive going the other way and settled for a FG. People’s arguments aren’t can he throw it 45-65 yards on a dime....it’s can he get it in right windows and the answer is no. Most the time it’s behind, or WRs have to stop. This is why the coaches believe Penix can give them opportunities to win bigger games.....he allows WRs to make plays and turn up field. And bringing up the bsu and EIU games about how Penix was not great....he has at least 2-3 more tds. Does that make you happier? Because those aren’t on him....his WRs have dropped wide open balls....that’s not on him. His one INT was a bad read early in his first start. His second the WR ran a shallow route and slipped coaches have said that’s not on him. Ramsey has INTs as well....one didn’t have enough zip, went for pick six against osu. One was a floater against UConn. EIU he almost threw another pick 6. Luckily butter fingers lb couldn’t catch....the argument is getting it to WRs in time and not allowing the Defense to make plays and adjust to his lobs. -
I believe he received a PWO on his visit and if he’s a take, he’s a take as a PWO.

When will be stop trying to run a coach out of Bloomington.....all your statements on last years defense don’t even care to recognize who we were fielding on the field....we had one of the youngest teams in the nation and still have a youthful team. I’m not defending the tackling as it was awful in ball state game....however tackling in all of football has gone down if you watched first week games.....there’s now rules implemented as to how many contact practices you can have in preseason camp....I guess we will also throw out anything IU did against a lesser opponent in EIU....I guess you can’t credit that we tackled better....gave up zero points...I’m guessing if we had almost lost then it would have been brought up. But we can scratch all the close calls Wilson had. But if you’re going after who runs the defense.....Womack now runs it. Allen has publicly stated its weird not running the defense. He’s been a consultant and will help when he feels it’s not up to par.... But he knows he can’t run it fully if he’s the head coach. He spends more time during the week understanding what deboer is going to do on offense so he can run the team as a whole.

Are we really going back down that road. It’s been stated by many on here who actually pay attention year in and year out. Allen had a great base to build on when he first got here, first year great defense....I guess we will also forget how poor Wilson got with his play calls when defense actually showed up....guess that’s on Allen as well....The recruiting voids....that Wilson didn’t fill when he was HC are now being addressed in Allen’s past classes. I guess I forgot we are bama and can plug freshmen right away and compete for championships. My bad. Over 80 kids on this roster are RS SO or younger.

(2020) WR Rashawn Williams to IU
lucel15 replied to lucel15's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
He won’t be bringing his teammates. So don’t keep waiting. Penny Boone is verbal to Maryland. IU backed off late April. Doubt we take a RB in this class. David Ellis can slide to RB if needed. OL is most Likely to Kentucky if he has t committed yet. We have offered two of his teammates for 2021 both on defensive side. I believe one will be here this weekend or next for the OSU game. Can’t remember who it is. -
Here’s my write up after that game..... special teams- way better than we saw last year coverage on kicks was outstanding and David Ellis should take one back this year great vision back there. Can’t wait to see Reece back there on punts overall I don’t have much to say. Oh wait shoutout to true frosh long snapper great snaps all day. Offense- pretty vanilla play calling, ran the ball outside maybe 3 times. Caleb Jones looked great at blindside tackle. WRs need to catch balls....can’t have that happen in big games. Penix throws for well over 400 if we catch 5 of those passes dropped. Hendershot has a bright future as does Penix. Bad decision making needs to be made in these first two games. First INT is on him second WR fell and even Allen and deboer said seconds not on him, fryfogle ran a shallow route and slid. I’ll hot my judgement for osu game to see what happens to play calls and running scheme as I say we won’t be showing a lot against eastern Illinois. Defense- it’s been stated numerous times....missed tackles. Too many times we just ran in head down trying to blow someone up. Just wrap.....James Miller had some perfect wrap up tackles he should be teaching everyone. When it comes to sacks I’ll take what we got, given we legit just went straight up rush, second half we showed some stunts and different front movements but overall it was like offense play calling, vanilla. I also felt like calls were coming in late....but that’s just me. Ik you have to wait and see what offense is lining up in, but too many times I saw DBs and LBs raising their hands looking to sidelines. Overall, I’ll take it....showed aggressiveness. Also, in most games tackling looked horrific all around the nation....must be the changes in how many times you can hit and protecting players in practice. Overall performance- B

RB Ivory Winters to IU
lucel15 replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Yes very much so, I don’t really think it had anything to do with field time, from what I heard he looked good and explosive. Sometimes on visits things look great everything happens fast, you see campus and all that....I’m just sure it was a big reality check (not in a bad way). Coming from a town that fielded a 35 man roster, a town of only 3,000 people, to coming to Bloomington. I hope someone close to home sees that he’s in the portal and I’ll be rooting for him on saturdays hopefully. -

Homesick. Didn’t venture out of room. Campus too big. His IU interview tells it all ahead of this announcement
