I think you hit the nail on the head as to why I am excited. Yea, it may not work, but this time, it isn't a guy chasing a bigger job, or bigger paycheck. MW knows full well what he is getting himself into here, he understands the pain the fanbase has gone through longing for a winner. He knows he doesn't want to fail at his Alma Mater, in his home state. He is here because he loves the place, and it really is his dream job. If IU was really BS dream job, then he would be coming, period. I say fine, stay in the NBA, give me someone who wants it. I keep wondering why no one is mentioning the stones on MW for taking on the challenge. He could have ridden millions in assistant coach or head coach NBA dollars into retirement, but didn't, because this place is special to him, and he knows how special it is to us..

I like all of our guys and am not the least bit concerned over who stays and who goes. They signed up to play for a different coach and if they want to move on, I wish them the best. I want the guys here who Coach Woodson wants here. He has been around and coached and played against the best players in the game. To even suggest that he doesn't know what he's doing is foolish. I'm sure he already knows what kind of player he wants. The portal will give him a chance to get those guys right away. He's an IU guy through and through. After giving this some thought, I'm all in. I like what's happening in Bloomington.

Instead we are treading into the unknown with Woodson. Let’s see how it plays out. I do know, 110%, that I’m thrilled we are not going into next season with the known...Archie.
For those hesitant about a change we knew what we were getting with Archie as  he had many of the same issues in year four that he had in year one, we came in 10th (again), lost the last six games of the year and did not make a basket in the last 10 minutes of his last game. There was ZERO momentum in the program.  The coaching change has me exponentially more excited/interested for next year than a 5th with Archie.

Helps Woodson make the transition from pros to college is the main thing as I see it. Matta can advise him and help him learn the monster that is the NCAA.

This place is funnier than Saturday Night Live.  An hour ago, it was all moaners and groaners that Moser would be our coach.  Now it looks like it's Woody and it's a different set of moaners and groaners.  If it were going to be Oats, Muss, etc., each one would have its own set of moaners and groaners.  Other than Stevens, there was not going to be a candidate that would be acceptable to the majority.   If it is indeed Woody, let's see who he selects for assistants, let's see how our current roster of players in the portal responds, let's at least see what next year's team looks like on the court.  The rush to judgment by some of you is amazing.
