We are exactly what this roster was/is. Not sure why anyone would be surprised. The ceiling on this group was always very low. The floor was the question mark which seems to remain so. I wanted Conerway to be a better shooter. I wanted R.Bailey to be Cody Zeller extra Lite. Wilkerson, DeVries as anticipated. Alexis better than anticipated. Sisley better than anticipated. Dorn, Mike’s less than anticipated. But it’s exactly what is was. At least We have a coach that demands and knows ball. Has always wished he’d created a better roster but it is what it is. My biggest concern last night was these guys are having some riffs with each other if you watch body language. It’s kinda odd. Miles wants more minutes. Dorn probably wants more. Wilkerson is in a funk. DeVries looks incredibly slow but he mostly finds a way. For this team to be its best the chemistry needs to be top notch. Every player needs to be his best. We lack in size, speed, strength. But we are 5-0 so far. But plenty of concerning signs emerging. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

I feel like my preseason assessments are proving true with this roster. Was hoping we’d have 4 shooters on the court at all times to cover our deficiencies but if we only have 2 that’s easy to defend. Sledding is going to get rough really soon. We are regressing and are going to be in trouble soon. We’ve looked awful 2 straight. Discombobulated/disjointed offense. Missing shots. Ball movement is stagnant. Cuts are our best offense but we don’t have the athletes to finish. Reed Bailey has a skillset but he’s the softest big I’ve seen in some time. Completely weak handed. Hopefully. This year Peterson, Boozer, Wilson, Peat, Dybantsa are the best players on good teams. Our Boy Maleek Thomas is great at ARK too. I’m generally a transfer portal guy over freshman almost every year. However this year, the best of the best are in the Freshman class. Tons of good players out there though. Stotjin can’t hit. Misses everything she shoots. Besides that she looks the part. Caffey proving the freshman jump is real. I think she’ll steady as the year progresses. Maryland gets a likely lotto pick talent. Ohio State gets a potential one although less likely. Freshman class this year is dominant. Next years class isn’t as good but the “star freshman” vibe returns after this seasons start. Curious to see what DeVries does.

Interesting. Seems to somewhat fill the same spot as Karvala. Don’t love reclasses but if it was his original class is it really a reclass. lol.

Sure is. I don’t want Medoza to ever leave. lol. He’s one of my all tie favorites. Just and awesome human being. Smart, tough, the most ideal teammate. He will be greatly missed. Coach Cig knows ball, but he has a tough decision to make next year on if Alberto can be the guy. I think the formula of finding the 6’5” guy that has the skill set and mentality out of the portal is hard to ignore especially as our ability to hand pick the guy increases.

Probably, but better teams will scout us and play us tougher. Run Wilkerson and DeVries off the 3 point line and then let the others do what they do. Ugh, that game brought me back to earth.
