  1. No offense, would prefer the no BtownBanners.com, but I was actually about to make myself one of these haha Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. He has potential and it brings optimism back to the team. We had seen Crean's ceiling, and it was a toxic environment. Should be a fun ride. We'll see if he can perform like his older brother. I'm optimistic (as always). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. Actually, yes. Yes indeed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. BTB 3 months ago: I DONT CARE WHO IT IS, ANYONE WOULD BE BETTER THAN COACH CLAPPY I HATE HIM AND I HATE ANYONE WHO WANTS TO PROCEED WITH CAUTION *Crean fired, Archie Miller hired* BTB now: ARCHIE MILLER IS WORSE THAN CREAN THE WORLD IS ENDING IM DONE Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. Hoped for more considering the terms Glass set, but think Archie is going to do an excellent job. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Archie?! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. No you're right to. Key distinction in the word smithing game these journalists play Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. Guess our board is pretty trustworthy Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. Oh baby, say it again. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Yeah hear you. Double checked his tweet and it did say "contacted by Indiana" Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. You won't. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. You don't have to. Alford keeps proving his mediocrity for me, and Archie looks a heckuva lot better than either of them. Also, supported Crean, no doubt. Always hated his defenses and the turnovers, but did think he deserved all the time he received. This year the relationship clearly ran it's course, and moving on to the next thing (regardless of whether the best guy was available or not) was the right decision.
  13. *A beautiful piece of work Bad defense usually results in the other team hitting a lot of shots. Not rocket science. We watched it for 9 years with Crean. Alford's team = Alford's fault. Same standard we've held our coach to.
  14. Mmm incredibly unproven. He's done very impressive work at an irrelevant school in an irrelevant conference. I'm not wow'd, but certainly happier with him than a proven underachiever (sup, Alford! How about that loss to UK?)
  15. Turns out I was right. This was the team that broke CTC's back.
  16. Wish List: 1) Billy Donovan - obvious homerun, proven winner, solid recruiter, cultural fit 2) Tony Bennett - has only overachieved at underachieving programs, concerned that his offensive style may not be the style that wins championships despite the strong efficiency ratings 3) Mike White - so impressed with his tournament, strong efficiency ratings at Louisiana Tech and now Florida, might be the most interesting young coach in the game even more than Archie/Holtmann 4) Gregg Marshall - not excited by him, but would get Indiana to the tournament every year and give us a punchers chance 5) Archie Miller - young exciting coach, solid efficiency ratings that have improved each year at Dayton I'm actually not sold on really anyone else, and don't think Sean Miller would budge (replace Marshall with Miller if you think he's even possible). 17. Albers isn't lying. He wouldn't put his entire reputation on the line as he's trying to build his own brand/credibility. Now, his sources may be completely wrong, but he clearly has a serious reason to believe Donovan was in Bloomington. The long term value of his credibility as a journalist is worth far more than what he generated in click throughs on that article. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. That's what the OKC beat writer is going to put his rep on? That Donovan hasn't even been CONTACTED about the Indiana job? There is one person who should have gotten a call before Billy, and we're not that lucky... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. For as much as we've had to argue with some on here about why Steve Alford shouldn't be coaching at Indiana, I'm very happy to see how many at BTB refuse to accept him and his dangerous attitude and history regarding sexual assault. It's difficult to know the right way to handle such a delicate situation, but it's obvious when it is handled inappropriately. His behavior is not acceptable for a man paid to teach and lead young men, especially given the high risk environment that already exists on college campuses. 20. Lol ok you're right Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. Yeah not like he was arguing with me a few hours ago about Billy Donovan and us needing to hire more than a resume. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Confused by your extremely hardline stance that Billy Donovan is not the "right guy" and that winning isn't the only important indicator, according to you. Confused as to what changed your mind. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Very confused, but glad you came around. What sold you? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Must be trying to go out with a bang. Time to sell the farm. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. Zero confidence in Albers but don't know why he'd put his rep on the line like that... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
