Kansas makes great offers to everyone. I think Kansas is potentially a nuclear plant about to meltdown. I wouldn't touch it if I were a young promising coach. -

Kid really should have taken that redshirt year, but best of luck to him! He's got size and wingspan, just needs to bring it all together and play a little game called basketball. -

No, Chris Beard is legit. Would love to have him. More commentary that we're really good at always finding something better than what we have as a fanbase, especially coaches. There are very few truly great coaches out there at any one time. Our fans will point and yell "SEE?!" after another coach has one good season when we're struggling. It's funny to watch. The Fred Hoidbergs and Brad Underwoods of the world are prime examples. Also funny seeing the ages of the coaches left in the tournament and who are the greats. Most are 60-70 years old. This is a job that takes decades for individuals to perfect. There are very few outliers, and the odds are very much against you when hiring younger coaches. -

Once again, not saying Beard isn’t the real deal. Commentary was that we find some coach to glorify every year. It makes it seem like everyone has a better coach that way. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Any of you ever hear of shiny object syndrome? Not saying Beard won’t be great, but every year we find another coach to glorify and put on a pedestal. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
I think keyboard warriors are getting way out ahead of them selves on Archie. No one is denying the serious flaws, but I think some aren’t seeing the potential. He’s a young coach, we a promising background, and it takes time to learn and build a sustainable program. There’s no way around it. Go ahead, point out the anomalies like Beard and I guess maybe Holtman. But they are anomalies. Too many coaches have backed Archie’s talent, including the vaunted Bob Knight, for the keyboard firing squad to make the call after two seasons. There’s potential there - give it time to grow. We really have nothing left to lose at this point. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

You know Coach K would have some bs excuse for not suspending his own player. Talk about how he had a very serious conversation and can see that the real punishment was in disappointing the Duke brotherhood blah blah blah. Have I mentioned that Coach K is an uptight and pretentious hypocrite? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

NBA will benefit. They’ll probably come up with some new contract structure for high school products and will get them into their systems earlier and gain revenue from their hype. Social media has allowed guys like Zion and Seventh Woods and Emmanuel Mudiay to create brands in high school as well. NCAA will take a hit financially, but it will help clear up a lot of the dirty business reducing risk. There will still be cash going to the top guys, but substantially less. All my own opinion, but feels logical. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

There is too much money for the shoe companies and NCAA with Zion Williamson at Duke for a year. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but OAD benefits the shoes companies, the NBA, and the NCAA. Only person getting cut out of the money is the kid. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Academic All-Big Ten

Hold on. It’s a 3.0? Meaning everyone else is just above passing? That’s kind of wild. Obviously, they have very demanding schedules. Just shocking the bar is that low for Academic All-B1G. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Just to play devil’s advocate, but if that policy resulted in turning down Pitino and Calipari, then maybe it’s not such a bad thing after all... Need to find a happy medium, as this also resulted in poor hires. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I don’t recall having a strong opinion on him at the time, but I certainly underrated him. He’s so polished and I love his attitude. He’s going to be the foundation of a championship team and sooner rather than later. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Zion would be a starter on any team in the NBA. He’s absolutely unreal. That wasn’t the point though - I’m not arguing kids aren’t getting good return out of this. Argument was that the NCAA absolutely benefits from OAD and had a hand in it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
