IU Basketball: Who is leaving? Who is staying?
Walking Boot of Doom replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Haha exactly. Pretty hard to imagine a scenario where TB was drafted. That being said, Zimmerman, Brice Johnson, and Diamond Stone are all late first round picks according to Givony. I don't think TB necessarily deserves to be drafted above any of those guys. I would be shocked to see TB risk falling to the second round (losing millions of dollars) when another year at Indiana could move him into the lottery. -

DX usually just makes assumptions regarding who will enter the draft. Him not having TB on his board suggests to me that he is either A.) Confident TB is not entering the draft, or B.) does not consider him as a top-60 draft pick this year. -

Love DX's board. Yogi drafted, with Troy and TB coming back to school :) -

Glue guy couldn't keep his lips shut after a couple Long Islands? I like it. -

2016 (F) Freddie McSwain Jr. to IU

I like Troy on the team, but unfortunately for him, he's not a borderline first round pick. He's borderline for the whole damn draft. -

In unrelated news, we picked up three Crystal Ball picks for him, including Alex McCarthy who doesn't usually pick until it is a sure thing. -

They appear to be an OSU fan associated with the Hulls family in some way. -

Probably pretty difficult to make such a skeptical and broad generalization based off a mixtape of his JUCO games. It appears that we're getting a kid with some ridiculous hops who has already put on some muscle. Let's see what Crean and the Shot Doctor can do to develop the kid. -

That attempted steal was a classic Troy move, no doubt. But I strongly disagree that he scored a bunch of garbage points. He came in on fire to start the second half when we were down 16 and had an entire half to get back in it. He started lighting them up from three. He nearly single handedly kept UNC's lead under 20 for the first 10 mins of the second half. Had anyone else on the team had some shots fall, we'd be talking about how Troy's second half performance propelled us into the Elite Eight over the national favorite. -

Just curious if you watched the second half at all? Because Troy lit up UNC for 19 points in the second half, and got us back within 10 a few times. He was the only part of our offense that seemed to be working. Troy Williams was absolutely not the reason we lost to UNC. -
(2016) Arizona Transfer PG Justin Simon
Walking Boot of Doom replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He recruited one and dones over his minutes. Kid was a freshman this past season, plenty of time to grow. Indiana has proven that they are capable of improving the game of most everyone who enters the program. Don't know if I can say the same for Zona. -

I'm hard pressed to find a game he lost for Indiana this year. I can find a good bunch of games where he was the catalyst for a big run. Tell me about his turnovers and defense all you want, I'm looking at what he added to the W column. -
Late 2016 signing/Grad Transfer
Walking Boot of Doom replied to Hoosiers219's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
With the new draft entry rules creating bigger questions for coaches trying to project a roster, the grad transfer is only going to increase in importance as a way to hedge against the added uncertainty. It's an exciting new aspect of recruiting. -

We just lose such a dynamo athlete. Some of the things he did to spark the team this year... Wow. -

BtownBanners App Update!
Walking Boot of Doom replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
iOS App is very clean. I like the look. Couple things I've noted: - Unread queue doesn't remove threads after I've read them - Tweets don't show as embedded tweets in the app (can see webview) Pro: definitely prefer the in thread ads to the pop up ads when changing forums. These ones also advertise less "Girls Seeking Men" which was always an odd one. -

UNC vs NCAA Allegations??
Walking Boot of Doom replied to Naismith's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Jim Boeheim just demonstrated why his program had a culture of CHEATING under his watch. Boeheim believes he has a better understanding of what is right and wrong in college sports, and that his success allows him to interpret rules with his own best judgement. He has fully convinced himself he's done no wrong. I have zero respect for this man. -

Beilein needs to shut the hell up. Complaining about training a guy for four years only to have them play against on another B1G team? If you're that worried about them, don't recruit over them. You've told your player who you "love" and supposedly trained to be great over four years that he is not worth a scholarship spot anymore. Why restrict him from going elsewhere if all your remaining 13 scholarship players are supposedly better/more valuable? http://sports.yahoo.com/news/michigan-limiting-spike-albrecht-s-transfer-options-224019956-ncaab.html
