Not sure why people think IU has an abnormal amount of injuries. Juwan Morgan and JBJ both has pre-existing injuries from high school that reoccurred (fairly normal for high level athletes) and then there was OG's injury, which was just highly unfortunate. Am I missing some massive number of freak, uncommon injuries? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

As one of the former guys arguing to give Crean more time: 1) I was wrong, but 2) We may not have won another B1G Title if we had fired him before last season. Sooo... who knows. And who cares. We're all onboard the same train now. :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Certainly. Minus the 90's [emoji6] Hard to separate the man from the coach, when the man caught as many headlines as the coach it seems. Most interesting aspect of this to me is the timing. We may have a new coach in place by then. Not a huge fan of the man, but I'm a big fan of mending broken relationships. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
It'll mean a lot of sitting, quiet fans, and an atmosphere that is not conducive to success for a CTC coached team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Thanks. Lol at him coming to Btown without going near IU. Did this with his book signing a few years back. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Great coach and strategist. Disciplined? Hardly. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Not completely. My expectation is that he understands, being the AD, that the donors have much greater expectations for the head basketball coach and are not willing to take as many risks. Also, the decision making procreas associated with hiring the coach for a historically bad football team with very low expectations and little ability to attract top coaching talent doesn't seem very comparable to our basketball situation. For as much time as we spend discussing how important our basketball program is, I don't agree that his decisions for our baseball and football programs, which were in much different situations, are good indicators of how he'll approach the basketball hire. Plus Crean versus SEC coaches... I'd take Crean against a lot of them. And Calipari would be forced to play him [emoji854] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Missouri is a decimated program with zero momentum. That's the kind of program that would look at what Crean did for IU and salivate. Consistency is his issue, but he definitely brings hype and attention and some real solid highs to a program. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Hope this is accurate. This is a very strong short list. I'd be happy with any of them, even Fife, although that hire would make me incredibly nervous. Actually, that list is in order of confidence in their ability to come in a bring IU back to a modern day blue blood, with Archie and Fife being 50% and 20% confidence, respectively.
