  2. Shaking hands and kissing babies after the game, all smiles, jovial press conferences, hugs for the players... He was a completely different coach last year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. He was improved as a coach last year. Whatever brand of soda he switched to before the Notre Dame game, he needs to go back to it. I have no idea what happened to those improvements. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. "My energy is great" Oops, sorry. Wrong coach. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. "I love the fans" = "Please come out to my book signing in May and continue lining my pockets while I **** on your hopes and dreams" Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Don't let it. Look at all the other evidence pointing to the fact that Crean is leaving. Plus, real concern shouldn't even set in until we are formally invited to the tournament. That's gonna take a couple more wins... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. Yeh that janitor tweet shouldn't give our doom and gloomers reason to think Crean is coming back... janitor is so vague, and honestly I think he does it to stir the pot sometimes. See his cryptic post on here a couple weeks ago... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. What's the tweet from janitor being referenced? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. I remember seeing that too now that you mention it. Bad look for a conference. Definitely helps support that ACC argument that the conference tournament is more important. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. "Personal conduct and ethics" *list of things everyone who's every played for him has done wrong* See Tom Crean isn't a good person Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. For sure, thanks for sharing though! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. "Easiest B1G schedule" - do we have SOS numbers to prove it? I've seen this repeated, but haven't seen the actual numbers. I think it's sort of a flimsy argument honestly. Agreed that one run changes nothing compared to 9 years of contradictory evidence. All I was saying is that Crean has demonstrated his average is at a much higher level than Davis. Certainly a run this year wouldn't really change that he's an average/slightly above average coach. He's wildly inconsistent. Sometimes he's looked like the best coach out there, other times completely clueless. I never understand where those amazingly coached games come from, and it's not just the players executing. He's legitimately coached some amazing games in the past (usually against Calimari). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. Not to discredit our good buddy Jonny, but no **** a coach plays favorites. And the guys riding the pine aren't exactly going to be singing the coach praises. Every single coach ever has done that. And once recruiting is over, it's no longer sunshines and rainbows. Perform or sit down. I think this sounds like how any team/job operates. Id love to hear stories demonstrating how much of a jerk he supposedly is behind the scenes. As for this idea that he's "manipulatively nice", I think that's a pretty far stretch. He's been actively engaged in the IU and Bloomington community since he arrived. He probably has a lot of rough edges, but damn the dude has put in a lot of effort to be a positive force in Btown. 14. I predict we behave like we usually do after destroying a trash team by shooting 60% from 3, and we come out flat, lazy, and cold. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. I'll argue Mike Davis is not an relevant comparison. He never finished better than 4th in the B1G besides 2002, never won 20 games in his final three seasons, missed the tournament twice, and didn't make it past the second round besides 2002. Same situation really with Ollie. Crean has had a much better 6 years, and did it with his own players. He's proven he can win and is a much much better coach than Davis. Once again, 3 S16s and 2 B1G Titles in 6 years is nothing to brush off. It's just not good enough for us anymore. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Damn some of you guys have let one person repeating over and over that "Fred Glass loves Crean and needs any excuse to extend him" blind you from logic. Also, if Crean won a National Championship, I'm sorry, but I'm back on board. I don't like his style, I don't like the turnovers, and his demeanor is annoying. But damn I'd be in full support of the coach who brought home Banner #6. History says that isn't gonna happen, so don't worry folks. We are not a sound enough team defensively to make any kind of tournament run. Unfortunately, that is most likely also true of the BTT, and our season ends today. Then we all have to go back to our regularly scheduled lives till November. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Yeah he didn't exactly say he's probably gone... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  19. Just won Indiana Sports Writer of the Year for a second time... not sure who the hell is voting, but they should see a doctor before the hemorrhage in their brain worsens. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. Crean never meets expectations. So that means he's gonna win the BTT and take us to a final four. It would be the most Creany of Crean moves. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. As long as he doesn't have to defend Yogi when the rockets and mavs play lol Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Billy D said no. But wait! Maybe he didn't, and we're still talking. Fred Glass was at the MVC tournament, and Jay Bilas says Gregg Marshall is Btown bound to relieve his goodie good twin of his coaching duties. Alford is involved in another cover-up, but this time it's his abismal tournament history (or lack there of considering he's missed it more times than he's taken his teams dancing) as he tries to convince Indiana that his resume is actually not a copy/paste of Crean's. Sean Miller is currently sweating through his shirt, wondering if it's time to leave the desert heat. And Brad Stevens is too busy living it up in Boston to answer calls from the annoying girl back home who won't give up on her love for him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Agreed. I think recruiting expectations of a blueblood (5 stars all day) are too high for him and he tried to meet those and flopped (The Movement, recent big misses). His sweet spot is that 50-150 range and developing those guys, which is beyond expectations of a program like Mizzou. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Saw someone mention it earlier that Crean still needed to "win" the MU job. Sorry for the confusion. That said, had a Mizzou alum friend text me saying how excited they were at the chance to get Crean. Believes Crean could turn the program around quickly (a few years) and make them relevant again in a conference where he just needs to beat the team he seemingly coaches his best against (Kentucky). Mizzou wants Crean, and he's such a great fit there. That program won't recruit itself, but Crean can recruit (I know many have questioned this) the type of players that will develop and become multi-year studs at a program like Mizzou. He brings energy and excitement to a program, which Mizzou sorely lacks given their miserable performance. He could also be a great champion for a campus that is failing culturally. They really need someone to bring momentum to the team and school. Crean is certainly a strong candidate for that kind of thing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. People will be surprised by how much NYC support Indiana has. The alumni network in the metro area is around 15,000 people... Also, I'm very excited to watch the games in MSG. Much better and much easier to get to than the UC. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
