Him developing would solve a lot of the issues that concern most of us. Would love that. Also, I have the sneaking suspicion that CJ Gunn is going to be much better than we all think. Any word on his impact this summer? I watch him play and see massive upside.

Good to hear. Kid is a program changer. -

Everything online seems to suggest that he’s a Cincinnati lock. -
I think it had just as much to do with the offensive coordinator. Maybe more so.

It’s getting to that point. Kids are starting to grow up and get into multiple sports. It’s fun but can be exhausting, as I’m sure you are well aware of. Love FWCC. Sycamore is a great course but tough as heck!

It’s FWCC. Orchard and Brookwood are fun courses to play. I took this picture from the roof of the clubhouse.

Not quite…Close by though!

Hearing the same about both Sisley and Haralson. -
Yes they were teammates on EYBL Meanstreets. Best AAU backcourt ever.

I was telling a close buddy a couple weeks ago that I think he’s our next OG…. Maybe not as physically gifted but a guy that is relatively slept on and ends up massively (and unexpectedly) impacting this team. I don’t think any of us are counting on him giving us much early but if he does, we are that much better. Love the way the roster is taking shape for the future. -
Was at the BBBS dinner last night and Woody was asked directly who he was expecting to have a big jump and he said TB.

2022-2023 IUBB Roster Projection

I agree. I love JG. But I find it very hard to believe he’s going to make the transition to the 3. He doesn’t move very well with the ball in his hands at all. He’s an undersized 4 who can stretch the defense a bit. I’ll be shocked and more than happy to eat crow if he can effectively play the wing next year. -

Yeah… I’m not sure I care to have the kid anymore. -
This is clearly to upgrade from the women at Purdue.

Dennis has an elite skillset, in his defense. Nothing elite with MK and JG. Maybe you could argue JG's athleticism but no elite skills. -

I'd say that we can move onto McNeil. -

I like Geronimo and I like Kopp. I also believe that if we are going to contend for a B1G title and ultimately a national title, we need to get better at their positions. I personally don't believe either player would be good enough to get more than mop up minutes on a true contender. If Woodson is recruiting guys in their position, it's for a reason. It's clear that the staff feels the need to upgrade the roster. They want to win now. Not in 2-3 years. Refreshing if you ask me. -
I get the same vibes that I had when we recruited Xavier Johnson. Johnson showed hands down the most development over this last season, so I trust Woody can get similar results out of Dennis.

You can’t have a team full of 13 guys who should be rotation guys. You will end up with awful team chemistry. We need guys on the bench who are willing and enthusiastic about accepting their roles. Dysfunction awaits otherwise. -

I agree with this 100%. Stack as much talent as possible 1-9 and have guys like Leal at the end of the bench helping to support the team and maintaining a positive culture. Recipe for success. -

Put me in the camp that thinks we don't skip a beat if JG leaves the team. If he wants to be close to home then so be it. I think he has high ceiling but I'm not convinced he's going to reach it here. He also has a floor that hes capable of reaching too. He played absolutely awful in some games where he got plenty of mins. If you held a gun to my head and told me to pick between Dexter Dennis and JG, Im taking Dennis all day long. I don't think his jumper looks all that bad and we really need a lockdown wing defender. If Xavier Johnson can improve his shooting from 3 with the form he has, then so can Dennis, imho. Clearly the staff knows something that we don't, as they are actively recruiting Dennis and McNeil. I have the sneaking suspicion that LD and JG are going to bounce. -
There a quite a few variations I can think of that would be worth exploring. I would love for the program to step outside of its norm and really try to appeal to the younger generation. Just seen a photo of Reneau and JHS standing with Mike Woodson and both players were dressed in Nike from head to toe. I agree with those that say it doesn’t hurt as much as we think but it would help in my mind (switching to Nike).

I personally would give JG Kopp’s mins. Gives us more and will vastly improve with more mins. Kopp kills us in more ways than just missed jumpers. I also think one of Bates or Galloway is going to make a big jump. Galloway figures his jumper out and he becomes a special player imho.
