(2025) SF Koa Peat to Arizona
HoosierTrav replied to HoosierHoops1's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I think this kid and Cooper Flagg will contend for #1 in this class. Flagg is an absolute monster. -
The second that JHS proves he can hit an outside shot consistently, he’s gone. Hopefully that’s sooner rather than later. If Woody does a good job developing these kids, it’s going to open the door even more to these programs.

2022-2023 IUBB Roster Projection
HoosierTrav replied to Five Prime's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Does anyone close to the program know who the staff is favoring between Dennis & McNeil? I personally would love to add Dennis. -
Man….. how awesome would Romeo have been in Woody’s offense?!?!
-
Big deal. Some of these prep schools would compete for final fours if they were in the NCAA’s.

I no longer care if Mike Woodson wears turtleneck sweaters, in game, anymore.

Agree

Snitches get stitches… he gets it.

My goodness… your moral superiority complex is insufferable. If we kick X off the team for this then we deserve to suck for decades more.

I’m sure there are plenty of girls that will gladly cuddle during winter to keep him warm.

Gotta be a good sign that we are getting him to visit.

Something many (myself included) haven’t discussed is that maybe the staff is hoping for a significant contribution from Banks. -
I would prefer we loaded up on 4 stars, transfers, and the occasional 5 star. Teams full of 5 stars aren’t going to be realistic for us and that’s fine.

Brian Walsh Assistant Coach to O$U
HoosierTrav replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I seen a stat during the end of the season that showed Indiana was one of the top teams in the nation at getting open shots. We just need guys who can knock them down. -

This is perfect! I assume Wittman will stay on in a hidden consultant role. Works for me! -
IUBB Players in the Portal/Draft Exploratory Status

I’m one of the apparent few who loves the portal. I think it’s the best for the game and offers the best chances at getting better faster. Xavier Johnson made us a tournament team. -
So happy to see this. Mainly bc I want him to murder it there and become our next head coach.

Hate to root for kids leaving the program but they’ll find a new home and bottom line is we need to get better. Rob Phinisee and Parker Stewart aren’t good enough player to get Indiana over the hump. Our guard play, assuming X stays, will be significantly better. JHS is a massive upgrade over Rob. -
A close friend of mine worked very closely around Fife at IPFW and I’m not sure he left anyone around the place with anything positive to say about him. He’s egotistical and often rude to the people around him. Hearing these rumors about him don’t surprise me in the least. It’s who he is. I appreciate Dane as a IU former player but his only attribute as a coach, was that he warmed lil Tom Izzo’s seat at MSU. If Indiana is ever going to get anywhere near where they were, it can’t be with guys like Dakich and Fife around the program. These types are cancerous. Nothing grows around them other than cancer.

IF we’re able to retain both Rosemond and Hunter, I’m open to Wittman. I’d prefer Smart but Wittman is interesting. 1. He has Woodson’s ear. 2. He played in the NBA for 9 years and coached for 24…… Guys don’t hang around the NBA that long if they aren’t good/great coaches. It’s not like Dane Fife was raking in the recruits. We need Rosemond, Hunter, and Walsh (I think that’s his name) to handle the bulk of the recruiting duties, while at the same time needing a capable in game strategist alongside Woody. If we lose Fife and add Wittman, then our bench got better. Losing Rosemond would change my mind.

Someone mentioned Keith Smart earlier and I’d love that. Dude can coach.
