Wouldn't be shocked to see a starting lineup of Newkirk, Green, Johnson, Morgan, and Davis. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

No worries Stu. I didn't think you were coming off as a smart a$$ anyways. I honestly hadn't put much thought into how it would be cracked down on, but thought it would be years later and a long drawn out process through the NCAA that would end up not changing much. This certainly seems like it's going to change the game and I agree that this is what it will take. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Maybe I should have started with "those of us with little federal investigation knowledge." Lol In all seriousness, I'm enjoying your insight into all of this. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I would guess that most of us knew that this stuff with shoe companies, coaches, and recruits went on. I would also guess that most of us didn't think THIS is how it would start to get cleaned up. Going to be a very interesting time for CBB. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2019) SG Alex Hemenway to Clemson

I believe that was the semi-state game. Regional had New Albany, Castle, Bloomington South, and Center Grove. If you live in southern Indiana and can make the trip to Seymour, that is a day full of good basketball almost every year. Regardless of all that, the kid can really play and I would not be surprised to see him get an IU offer. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Agree. I saw him at the Seymour regional last year and thought he was the second best player on the court in that championship game, behind Romeo. I think Nunge will end up being pretty good at Iowa, but this kid is going to make an impact wherever he goes for all 4 years. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

He played on the same Indiana Elite team as Jeremiah Francis. Hopefully that helps with AAU stats, but idk what kind of stats the Adidas circuit puts out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Another Hopf at Forest Park??? Sounds like this one is better than the others. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It's not too much different from a typical foreign trip. The competition is better, but that's about it. It also solves the issue that they were running into in the past of not winning. Always before they threw a team together of guys from various schools and they didn't have a ton of success. Now, sending a team that's used to playing together actually allows them to compete at a much higher level. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Ik which is why it sounded to me like a 'we're (Purdue) not going to get him so let me play it off like he isn't even that good and nobody truly wants him' type of thing. Especially since it seems like he is IU's to lose. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Pap and Chris, can you guys confirm this? One of my best friends is a die hard Purdue fan and says that the guy that runs their rivals site is saying that none of the schools involved with RP are really pushing that hard currently. According to him, all of the schools would still take him if he committed today tho. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

This other team in our conference just won a B1G title with PJ Thompson as their PG. PJ is a past first guy that's capable of making open shots, never seems to hurt the team when he's on the floor, and is a good defender. RP checks off all of those things and is much better at this point than what PJ was. I understand those that are skeptical bc he doesn't doing anything that jumps out at you in his highlights, but I'll take RP in a heart beat. Ik I won't be happy if he's not a Hoosier. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but for those of you who like Mike White, his head assistant (Dusty May) is a former IU manager and grew up 20 min from Bloomington. I doubt that means anything in terms of IU hiring Mike White, but just a little fun fact.

If this has anything to do with the coach, then I'm willing to bet it has nothing to do with Crean and everything to do with the new HC.
