IU getting love on College Gameday!

As long as he's ready heading into the B1G season. We have a few tough games (KU, UNC, Butler) in the noncon but IU should be able to cover for him then. I would say around 10 minutes in the noncon and brought along like OG/JMo last season.

If McRoberts ends up being a Maximus lite I'll be pleasantry surprised. Heck, if he gives solid minutes ala Burton I'd be happy.

Man, really hate to see him injured again. Get well soon and do your thing for IU while coming back from your injury.

I thought I read in an article somewhere that this was the plan all along?? Ole Miss, IU, and NW in consecutive weekends. Edit: and that he's not afraid to commit if he feels like it's the right fit

Wilkes, Durham, and possibly Moore in Btown this weekend? That's solid.

My only worry is "taller players" wishing to play on the wing and not in the post, the 4 (for some players), or the 5 (for some other players) and it coming back to bite Crean and the staff. If Moore says he doesn't want to play the 5 but we stick him at the 5 because we don't have a backup that could ruin it for future recruits. The same goes for wings not wanting to play the 4.

I hate puke. I would find it funny if he led puke on and then chose IU. It would be even better if the bag man dropped off the goods and he turned them in. Kuck Fentucky

Depending how far along he is why not start him and have the more versatile JMo coming in as the first big off the bench. Like you posted, we'll see both the bigger wings (JMo, McSwain, and OG) and the smaller guards (RoJo, JBJ, CuJo, and Green) covering wings.

I guess a positive to this is that the new guys will quickly learn the "position less" basketball played under Crean for the following season. CuJo and Green will get used to guarding bigger wings and McSwain and JMo will get to guard a range of smaller wings/guards and bigger post players.

This is where Crean's recruiting baffles me. Durham gave his verbal in October (I think) and then he went out and got two guards for the 2016 class. I understand getting a guard or two if one is an instant impact guy. I don't understand signing three decent to good guards in one class and then having another commit in the following class that is just solid. If all those guards aren't signed/committed we have the option to get a guy like Moore plus push for another big. I highly doubt it happens but there's potential for 8 guards on the roster in '17-'18. That's goofy and terrible roster balance.

I really wish we knew, as fans, how he would project out. My biggest concern for 2017-2018 is having another post that can backup or play alongside DD. I don't think Moore is the answer, I don't think less is the answer either. JMo played at the 5 SOME last season but I don't think we'll be that successful of we're counting on him as the backup 5. Maybe they don't know if he'll be out for the season...? There's still about 3 months before the B1G season starts.

Set there hungover for a friend's graduation ceremony. It was hell! Edit: didn't really remember climbing up or going back down. I just remember waking up and then sitting at a retake any later in the day. Oh Btown, those horrible things you made me do.

To be fair, how many chances has pu had at top 25 wins? I don't recall them playing too many top 25 opponents in the noncon games. I guess that actually adds to the fact little brother has to kick and scream for people to notice them.

From the articles posted on here, it sounds like both his father and coach are IU fans. I wouldn't mind having connections to that area. Brunson and now Smith, who knows who might be coming through in a few years.
