  1. The NCAA doesn't make the crazy money on football like they do basketball. They'll sanction football programs while slapping basketball programs on the wrist. It's not about the money though...
  2. pu's motto "it could have been worse."
  3. Bill Walton is the man!!!
  4. KBO, I was raised in a similar fashion. Although my grandfather followed Notre Dame football religiously. I've taken upon myself as an IU alum to talk to my nephews as much as I can about IU football in the hopes that when he's a bit older he'll follow IU football as close as IU basketball. We owe it to the football program to do everything we can to boost the overall numbers. It would be amazing to see Memorial Stadium packed every home game and to see the university forced to increase capacity because it's sold out. One can dream!
  5. Uni is a pretty good layup making team. X has had a few games they could have easily lost but just barely escape.
  6. Image if we would have had shot attempts on half of our 50 turnovers..
  7. Could be but last time we were in a similar situation we lost two of the better 6-9+ players. I guess we could expect Moore or Morgan to be our starting center next season..
  8. Losing in the first round of the Maui Invite hurt us two fold. An L against a bad team and giving us an 200+ opponent in St. John's as opposed to a top 100 Vandy.
  9. The loss to two sub 100 teams in Maui hurt a great deal in seeding as well. If we had our top end games (KU, UNC, UL, Butler), switched 5 of the 250+ games to 100-200, and a few of the 300+ games to 200-250 games we would have a very good OOC SOS and be positioned nicely for a top 4 seed.
  10. You could have similar opportunities against teams in the 150-250 range or limiting the 250+ games to a handful and not the majority of your OOC games.
  11. Crean gets a W on his record to help balance it out from the first few years..? The IPFW is a solid game too. I'm happy for that game in Fort Wayne. We need to upgrade the schedule to be in a better position for a good seed come March. A couple 300+ cupcakes are good to get the frosh some run but when the majority of your OOC games are against 250+ something is wrong.
  12. I was one who followed basketball religiously growing up. I attended a few football games but wasn't a huge fan. I've watched and followed football a lot closer since attending IU. 24 sports, one team. Go Hoosiers!!
  13. Agree with turning a predominately losing team around. It's not just winning football games but turning the entire program around, fans included. I went to every home game for the three years I was at student at IUB. I knew we would lose but still went and cheered like crazy. I'm just guessing but if the Memorial Stadium was packed with Hoosiers cheering their ass off I'd guess we would get a few wins against good teams. I'll take "backing" into a bowl game by beating little brother for a second straight year. If IU can turn into a consistent bowl team we might get better attendance which might elevate the program another notch.
  14. Just like players are more upset after a loss I wonder if they're just as bored or more bored with games against turrrrble teams? It looked like TB was bored and not interested. I hope we come out against IPFW a little more fired up. These 8 cakes are going to be hard to watch.
  15. Glorified game of basketball "knockout." This game is so sloppy.
  16. So has that one ref called every travel and charge..? Sloppy sloppy game when IU isn't scoring at will.
  17. This game had that feel as soon as I started watching it.
  18. Thanks for the heads up. That play was ridiculous and should be a good finish.
  19. That was a sick play!
  20. pu is just flat. Villanova was the same way the other day. Uncle mo is changing sides. Does Georgia State have enough to hold on.
