Not really. BS has a clause in his contract allowing him out for IU. That isn't speculative. Word in Indy attorney circles is Tracey said last year she prefers the midwest and the east coast isn't for them. Nor is that.    To me, the last part of your post is the speculative part...I know he is on record stating something like that but that seems like PR spin to me. That's an easy deflection. There is no way that those conversations don't happen before IU fires a coach. IU would feel that option out and they'd get a better answer than "talk to me when the job is actually open." I think they got it last year, though I can't be sure. 

I think that's fair.

Not in the time frame many on here are hoping for, imo. And beyond that is speculative but not completely baseless

Not all HS coaches in the state of Indiana dislike Crean. There are plenty more enemies to be made and there is a ton of talent in the next three classes is my point.
