Think IU is down next year, tbh. No replacing Yogi.
-
All the Troy money talk...I feel like we're arguing the same thing from different ends. No doubt he is looking for the best way to get paid. Like any other NBA prospect. If he were looking for the fastest way to get paid he would have went overseas after HS, to Magnanimous's point. If it makes sense to leave, he will. But if he is going to have to try out for an NBA team based on his evals, then how in the world does it not make sense to come back and try to play your way into the first round w some actual guaranteed money? I don't think his Uncle is going to let him make a mistake, regardless of what Mom thinks.

Dan Dakich @dandakich Anyone that "doesn't know how good Indiana is" know zip about hoops..IU is damn good

I guess I see it more as 50/50. I get the graduating part. But what money is he leaving for? I don't think he gets the evaluation he wants back from the NBA. From there he can make his decision...try to improve his stock over the year, risk not being drafted and try to make a team. I just think it's pretty murky for TW right now.

I commented earlier about JBJ's areas that need improved, imo. I think they're important. But I do also think JBJ becomes a better player without Yogi. That's just a theory, but seems to be some conflict between the two on the court.

haha gotcha. I sorta like it
-
What makes you say that?

Yeah I hear he's 6-11. ESPN and 24/7 have him at 6-8

I'm a little concerned with the PG position. We have no real insight into Newkirk, it's sorta the wild card. No one is going to replace senior YF and I do feel like his loss will be felt more than most are leading on. So I guess keys for me are can Rojo, Newkirk and the freshmen handle the load at PG? I have confidence that Rojo can take that next step. IU loses a lot of scoring in YF. To me, depending on JBJ's recovery, it's huge that he takes that next step. He can score, but he needs to do some of the other things that make the team better. Yes, mainly defense, which could be a task after 3 knee injuries. But also things like keep the ball moving, don't drive into the trees, communicate, etc. If Troy comes back, I'm just done expecting anything different. He'll have those "wow" games, and have those "wtf" games. TB (if he returns) and DD are going to be huge down low. I'm not sure if Crean starts both. DD will not have a high point total, imo, but will really help on defense and O/D rebounding. OG and Juwan...probably the most exciting thing about next year, for me, is seeing their improvement. Pretty sure one of those recruiting gurus said no one in the entire class had improved more from one summer to the next with OG. So trajectory. is. good.

Thats a massive lineup. I think I'm even doing Davis a injustice listing him at 6-10, but everywhere has him at like 6-8...which simply is not true

Pitt isn't the easiest place to play

I've seen discussion on next years team come up in various threads and just figured it made sense to consolidate it into one thread. Or that's how my brain works. Roster Josh Newkirk 6-1 185 Guard Jr. James Blackmon 6-4 195 SG Jr. OG Anunoby 6-8 215 SF So. Robert Johnson 6-3 195 CG Jr. Troy Williams 6-7 215 SF Sr. Thomas Bryant 6-10 245 C So. Collin Hartman 6-7 215 PF Sr Juwan Morgan 6-7 205 PF So. De'Ron Davis 6-10 230 PF Fr. Curtis Jones 6-3 170 CG Fr. Devonte Green 6-2 180 CG Fr. LOL what a goofy pass by whitehead, blocked forcing it on the next possession... Leads to 5 points for X

Agree 100%. Big if there though

Standings and remaining schedule 2/22

Certainly possible. This year has been wild, and you are never quite sure which IU team will show under Crean. Having said that, I see no way Yogi loses at home with the B10 title on the line. Yogi's mindset is different this year and that makes IU dangerous, imo. -

I sure hope so. That would give Indiana a share of the title. -

BUMP..this sorta went away and was covered in the CBB thread, but, nothing like little bro bro helping out big bro bro yesterday. Edited b10 and overall records. Greens are wins, reds are losses. OSU can really help IU out today..Going to be tough with Tate out but they are at home. -
"It all starts with defense for us," Davis said. That is comforting.
-
No worries
-
Well, that helped IU. But Phinisee, Williams, Brooks and Jallow just saw a pretty good game... Not scared on any of those though lol

Dan Dakich @dandakich Tough stretch for #bbn ..lost to Football School in Texas A&M and academic school in Vandy..WOW!! lol trollin'
