  1. Because Woodson didn't get the job, even though he never should've had it, when they first wanted him too. Now we have to keep him around because we didn't fire Miller when we should have.
  2. I am too. It was just absurdly stupid. There's no foundation, we're not doing well with HS recruits so we have to have an absolute monster of a portal haul; keep in mind this last portal season was a dud outside of Ware. He's said he believes college ball is played inside out and that the 3 isn't a point of emphasis for them, that's not a good sign considering the change needed. His Knicks teams had the same problems which isn't a good sign for his ability (or maybe willingness) to learn. He has friends in the right places and they wanted to protect him, that's it. It was about what was right for Woodson not the Indiana program.
  3. A down year should include making the tournament, with a 68 team field it's not that big of an accomplishment.
  4. They 1)hired Mike Woodson and 2)refused to fire him when they should have. They haven't admitted that winning isn't a priority? Protecting their friend's feelings is more important to them.
  5. You know he'll get a rim protector to replace Ware and a big to replace Walker. He's convinced the game is played inside out still, the program will sink with him trying it.
  6. Yep, just wait until he gets his 4 in 1 out offense in place. And still no rebounding.
  7. Why do a crazy thing like that? This is IU, bad coaches are guaranteed to be around too long. This is the way.
  8. They clearly don't realize the Knicks fired him after 3 years. Odd, the fired him in the time frame we should have.
  9. Do they realize "Woodson is so bad we have to spend more just to be mediocre" really isn't the flex they think it is?
  10. New team, takes time to learn the defense, blah blah blah. They kept him so his feelings didn't get hurt, they'll find an excuse. IU has had plenty of experience making excuses over the last 20 years, one of the few things they've done well.
  11. He'd definitely have as much energy as Armond Hill does.
  12. Bob Knight forgot more about basketball than most people, including Woodson, will ever know.
  13. Guarantee Kenny Payne has a spot when he gets the axe.
  14. One of them is Woodson's friend. Sound like nepotism? It should.
  15. Fred Glass did something right as AD, even a blind squirrel finds the occasional nut.
  16. Because they don't care about the program. Woodson never should've had the job, but that's who they wanted so now we're stuck with him.
  17. What do you expect from a guy that refers to himself in the third person? Mike Woodson feels that work is beneath Mike Woodson.
  18. Sounds better than what we know it will be, "Woodson's incompetent friend needed a job"
  19. The role itself isn't a bad idea, using it to keep himself from doing the recruiting work is.
  20. If he thinks it'll keep from from actually having to recruit himself then it won't.
  21. Maybe that's the plan. Even if Cignetti is wildly mediocre, which would be an improvement for IUFB, they can point to the s***show that IUBB is with Woodson as a way things could be worse.
  22. A GM role isn't the problem, Woodson not putting in the work required is.
  23. Oh that'll work splendidly. Kid want to have some sort of relationship with the HC, nothing could go wrong.
