    Unless that isn't true, could just be rumors. Trying to land Pearl does seem very out of character for how IU has been the last couple decades; and we know they'll stick with Woodson too long.

    The way IUBB has been run the last 20 years, just getting a good coach would require an about face.

    I'd rather have Pearl on the sideline, I'm more confident in him being able to win here. With where IU is I also couldn't care less about a possibility of 25 years of May when needing a new coach in 3 is just as likely.

    You forgot, get ones that's one of his friends and as bad a coach as him ala Kenny Payne. If there's one thing IUBB needs it's more bad coaches on the bench.

    It'd be nice if he got on board with making a change. It's IUBB, we can't have nice things so he'll win and we'll stuck with Woodson. If there's even truth to the Pearl rumors, we've been down this road before.

    He's one vote, but sounds like some other trustees are afraid to cross him.

    I've given him crap for hiring Woodson but if Buckner is pulling the strings for his buddy them this crapfest isn't his fault.

    As players they helped turn this program into what it was. Seems like some part of them would want what's best for the program, and even Stevie Wonder can see this isn't it.

    I want Woodson gone as much as anyone. Him and Buckner are program legends and wouldn't want an ugly split; but if Buckner is trying to protect his friend as it sounds I'm afraid that ship has sailed. The hire was so immensely stupid.

    It's possibly that what Rabjohns etc are saying isn't coming from the athletic department in any way, but they depend on having access and could be a good way to lose access.

    Going to? If we're seeing an effort to turn public perception against Woodson to influence Buckner then it's already ugly.

    The GM part isn't the bad part, something like that is happening in college football. The bad part is that we'd still have a crappy coach.

    By that point the program will be completely dead because Buckner wanted to protect his friend, so no need to worry.

    So when Woodson is brought back they can save everyone the time and replace AH with a tombstone. A once great program killed by the egos of program legends.
