The same Scott Dolson gave Woodson a raise and pushed the buyback a year after what should been considered meeting expectations last year. The same Scott Dolson got taken to the cleaners by Allen's agent. Cignetti looks good so far but how he works out is definitely tbd.

Woodson needs to go, there's no question there. Does anyone expect IU, after what we've seen the last couple decades, to do what they need to get the hire right? I could easily see a "be careful what you wish for" scenario. This is the same administration that hired Woodson not because he was the best or even good candidate, he wasn't even remotely a good option, but because he played here over 40 years ago.

I don't know what they look at when evaluating coaches but something seems to be wrong. Take away the Final Four run and Crean was wildly mediocre at Marquette; his reputation when we hired was largely based on one run. Miller had some success at Dayton but they're a program that has had other coaches do well just to bomb elsewhere.

Or an issue with how they evaluate.

Hiring Woodson didn't already say that? Take away him playing here over 40 years ago and hiring him would be completely indefensible.

I'm mildly surprised there wasn't a self imposed post season ban after the bumper sticker ordeal. Of course too many times IU's on court performance is a post season ban but still.

Then the program gets a death penalty from the IU administration.

Just last game he threw a player under the bus.

Frankly, at this level being a lousy coach should count as cause.
