This. They know the game as players, and they were good players. That doesn't mean they are or can choose good coaches. Not at all uncommon for good players to be bad on the other side of things.

I'm sorry, Bucker shouldn't get a pass for thinking it was the right hire. Woodson was in his 60s, never coached college and hadn't been a HC in nearly a decade with zero demand, even Stevie Wonder could see it was a bad hire from the jump.

I'd love to see us get involved with Blomstrom. Productive and versatile at the FCS level.
