I'm guessing that Archie will not have this team focused on what they're missing. He'll have them focused on what they need to do. An Archie Miller-coached Indiana Hoosiers team might just have a little more grit and determination than many (but not all) of us are giving them credit for. And if you don't think that Wendell Carter can get in foul trouble just as easily as DeRon Davis, that Duval and Trent can force shots and play like freshmen, you may be in for a pleasant surprise. Lastly, sure, Duke has more talent. That's indisputable. But Duke's talent has only played at home, at neutral site gyms, and at high school-prep school gyms and all-star games. If you think that Duke's talent won't tighten up more than just a little bit in Assembly Hall? Well that's where I KNOW what's what.

They have two of the likely top five picks in the next draft; in fact, they have FIVE likely NBA early picks in their rotation. On the other hand, we have a under talented team, with a couple of reasonably well-ranked players. Our leaders are a physically strong but not that quick guard and a over-achieving senior forward who hasn't been on the floor all that much. Yes, we've got some size and strength, but it's largely young and raw, and hasn't had as much floor time as we'd like. Even our head coach is new to the program, and is going against the venerable Coach K. How the heck can we possibly compete with this #1 ranked team?!? Oh...and by the way, if you're trying to identify who the people I've cited in the paragraph above are, the answers are: Jay Williams and Mike Dunleavy. Also Carlos Boozer, Chris Duhon and Dahntay Jones. Tom Coverdale, Jared Odle, Jeff Newton. Mike Davis. "Duke is just a name on a jersey. They're not the Lakers. Ya' know, I'm really a basketball fan, and as a fan I root for Big Ten teams, especially when they play teams from the corrupt SEC, and Painter runs a clean program and that's admirable, and it's good for the State of Indiana when all Indiana college teams do well, and....................................................... SCREW IT; WHY LIE?!? Purdooo just blew a five point lead in the last couple minutes of regulation to go to overtime againsta crappy Tennessee team, THEN blew a five point overtime lead to lose to Tennessee 78-75! And that's freaking awesome!!!! Heheheheheheheheheheheheheh :) :) :)

It DOES NOT bother me that Darius Garland decided to stay with his hometown school, which happens to be a great place to go to college. It DOES NOT bother me that Shittu decided to play for Vandy, a power conference school with an incoming great point guard. IT DOES BOTHER ME that Shittu chose Vandy without considering, or even visiting other schools. IT DOES BOTHER ME that all other power five schools seemed to have backed away from even wanting to recruit Shittu, a top ten recruit.
