  1. Traveling: The Freddie McSwain way of preventing blocked shots. I like it! [emoji2] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. Now from a more reputable source, and end of season makes more sense. Do I see Dane Fife warming up in the MSU bullpen? Adrian Wojnarowski‏ @WojVerticalNBA 1h1 hour ago Sources: Tom Izzo will announce upcoming retirement in the next few days. Izzo intends to finish the current season, sources tell @TheVertical.
  3. Correct. On the other hand, Barstool could spawn even more attention and spotlighting of Izzo, so i suppose Barstool could create a self-fulfilling "he's gonna go" prophecy of sorts.
  4. Would be a "WOW" ...doubt it's true.
  5. The "old stuff re-examined + new things coming out" combo jumbo with cheese would completely change the dynamic.
  6. Maybe so; those are certainly good examples of your point being true. However, there are also examples of famous people who skated, even in this new day. I kinda think Izzo will skate.
  7. It could hurt recruiting, and based on what I just read, could mean the end of D'Antonio there. Izzo? Bad news, but no real new revelations. Much more a shinier spotlight on old revelations. He'll muddle through this; maybe with a few bruises.
  8. Welllllll...while we all agree that it is well past time that we re-instituted regular Purdue beatdowns, this is probably the wrong year to proclaim that you're not here to #@&* around vis-a-vis the Purdue game. Not especially confident there's much that can help with the huge mental and physical talent disparity between us and them. Prepare yourself; when you see Freddie McSwain leaning on Haas you're gonna get that queasy feeling.
  9. And I’m not a Crean hater- I think that Wade has a lot of common strengths with the strengths of FCTC. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Geez Alaska, stop being so touchy; he said he didn't name your name! (See Natty... you were right) ;)
  11. He is baffling them with bullshirt. A hyper-caffeinated red bull-fueled hard sell about all the great things they're gonna do. He tirelessly contacts them with visits, visions, and texts full of imagined grandeur. It's not unlikely that he is a good guy that believes his own vision. Just like Tom Crean. On the other hand...who knows, maybe he's also delivering no-show, high money jobs at boosters' companies to the friends and relatives of recruits (that happens sometimes too in the $EC).
  12. Have you ever tried to learn about Will Wade? The farthest he ever got as a player was ... team manager. He is a "student of the game" with a fast-paced offense and little ability to coach high-level defense. He is hyper-caffeinated; a salesman who wears out his welcome. He. Is. ... Tom. Crean.
  13. And one of those freshmen playing on what very well could be a recently repaired ACL.

  15. Calipari hits Kensucky with a truth bomb! If we EVER have an IUBB coach that makes a statement like this? Aye carmba: Calipari: "If you look at me when I try to do what I’m doing for you and you have a problem with it, that’s your problem. You’re not playing for a team that says, ‘Don’t put their name on the back of the jersey, it’s only about the program.’ Now, we do have some fans who think that’s the case. But most of you — that’s a small sliver who I pay no attention to to be honest with you."
  16. This one will be tough. Our conference record is better than we are, but somehow we seem to find a way. If we win this one on the road without the inevitable letdown, that will be mighty impressive to me.
  17. Counseling can be very, very helpful. Screw the stigma; It's good to have someone to talk to in person.
  18. Not commenting on whether he'll choose IU, but this picture is more likely because Romeo or the kid next to him farted loudly than any insight on his IU experience.

  23. Yes. For instance; as Romeo sat behind the IU bench for the NU game, he was next to his potential point guard, Rob Phinisee. He is very, very well aware about the entirety of how it would be to play alongside Rob Phinsee. THEN, as the game got going, he witnessed first hand how Archie responded to his team having a mediocre start, and how that team responded. Archie has the confidence to let recruits see him up close and personal. So did FCTC, and that was NOT helpful. Romeo is doing absolute due diligence. He gets the chance to truly understand what Archie is like, and I'm guessing that is helpful.
  24. All of ^^this^^, and also sitting behind the bench and experiencing how the coaching staff (esp Archie) interacts with the team during games is important.
