Well, our roster for next year is most certainly not set yet. But even if it was set, I would probably take a freshman Hunter and Phinisee + a redshirt freshman Race over a very good RoJo, a serviceable Freddie, and three other seniors who did not help on the court even a little. Add to that continued maturity by DeVonte, Al, Juwan, and especially JSmith, and we should be at least two or three games better even if we didn’t add anyone else. Fantastic news about DGreen. I think I have a decent handle on DeVonte’s personality. He comes from a hyper educated basketball family, he is a very opinionated guy, and he is very very smart. He doesn’t say a lot, but you can tell that the wheels are spinning. Smart guys like Devonte “get it“. And what he gets is that Archie Miller has allowed him to continue the better parts of his game, but is putting him through the ringer to refine his major weaknesses.
