Finally, a targeted class of student-athletes that causes institutional defunding for multiple transfers, when all other student-non-athletes don’t affect that funding with multiple transfers? I love ball, but I’m basing it in part on the assessments of people that coach ball. They pretty much universally like Devries’ stuff.

Just saying—they were both 1st year college players and Fru was WAY better than Moreno. Moreno has skills that will allow him to be a scorer down the road, but Fru seems way more athletic and active.

I am heartened by scheme assessments from guys with more knowledge than me like Tony Adragna, from Devries' accomplishments pre-IU, and from the offensive actions and defensive adjustments he made last year. But as a summary conclusion do I think he's capable of making good talent look like an outstanding team? Hell; that's an easy one. I don't know yet!

No. He needs to make a splash by winning lots of basketball games, including high-profile games. Woody made a splash with box office recruits and portal gets, and the fan base didn't give a **** because it didn't enable winning. Get a bunch of no-names and curb stomp Kentucky on national tv this fall and all will be well in a big hurry.

That would be three of what will end being top 100 players in the portal. Too much gloom for me to say I'd be surprised if we do that well on P4 players?

Some will be immediately disappointed with the roster we assemble. Some will wait to see how that roster performs.
