  1. The other night against Michigan, Purdue didn't shoot a single free throw in the first half shot 20 second half free throws. Knowing Big Ten refs, and knowing how much we like to reach and grab, I expect a much different looking similar game tonight. Sadly, the edited version is also true.
  2. The crazy part is this official Purd-eww website writeup justifying extending Gearlds. It justifies the extension by inaccurately stating that she took Purdue to the WNIT Elite 8 in 2024-25. The WNIT for Purd-eww was in 2023-24, a year when they went 15-19, 5-13. Then she went 10-19, 3-15 immediately after getting the extension, and is 12-14, 4-11 this year. In a basketball-friendly state that's next level terrible. And a $1.6 million buyout to dump her after the season is no joke.
  3. Without Sacramento State in the MAC it's never gonna be kosher.
  4. 1,000,000% yes! It's the only attitude that makes sense for so many of the interesting things in this world; food, travel, and especially the arts. It doesn't matter who, what, when, or where it was done; if it's good, it's good.
  5. Look at you being all connected with the newest what’s up Doc! beyond the music , that’s kinda impressive.
  6. Rumor is it’s usually the mama.
  7. 100%. Can you imagine the NCAA levying penalties on a school for that school following a court order? That school would immediately take the NCAA back to court, and the school would win.
  8. Likely that either Tucker or TKR is going to have foul trouble. At Puredoo odds are pretty high that it will be Tucker. That'll be a major, major problem for IU. Wouldn't surprise me if Conor also has early foul trouble in Mackey, but we have a pretty strong defensive plan B with Conerway for that issue. If we can keep out of foul trouble I'd expect we will hang in and make a good game out of it. Purdoo is not Illinois or Michigan.
  9. My single favorite release this year: Oughta be viral IMO, but I'm biased.
  10. I predict it too. It's hard to top what Sarratt and Cooper have done for IU at that position, but Becker and Marsh are special talents.
  11. At the beginning of next season, Nick Marsh will still be only 19 years old. He's is already very, very good, but he also has real potential to improve dramatically. Marsh and Becker at WR? Hoooooo boy.
  12. Yup - watching Yaxel or Morez Johnson deliberately assigned to defend Amish Boy Smith made it apparent that Michigan has defensive flexibility and general athleticism that a team that starts Oscar Cluff and Flopper Loyer cannot compete with. Dusty game planned it so very well: UM starts three true bigs - Mara, Morez, and Yaxel. Mara and one more of the bigs guarded TKR and Cluff/Jacobson The third starting big, either Yaxel or Morez, guarded Braden Smith. If they tried to ball screen for Smith, it was invariably a UM guard who was switched to Smith. If it was Cluff who ball screened for Smith and Mara was the big, Cluff was too damn slow to get to the basket, and Cluff cannot finish facing the basket.
  13. Think about that; Amish Boy, The Flopper, and TKR will finish their Purdue careers with a 4-4 record against one of the worst eras of IU hoops, but only if they win the upcoming home game. If Wilkerson and Dorn go on a heater or TKR gets in foul trouble, they will finish their Purdump careers with a 3-5 record against IU.
  14. Also worth noting upon a little more research; the Tindley team he lit up is terrible.
  15. And with a Caitlin Clark result after terrible shot selection. At least Hermie is shooting 38% from 3 this year; Clark finished at 27.9% from three last year with similar shot selection but more volume. Dey both turrrrrrible.
  16. UCLA getting very much on the wrong side of the bubble. 17-9 with only won Q1 win (against Purdump) and one Q2 win; their second best win is at Washington. No bad losses. Gonna be the underdog in almost every game from here on out. Kentucky also getting a tiny bit bubbly! Multiple good wins has them currently safely in, but they are 17-9 and will be an underdog in four of their remaining five conference games. If they only win the game they're favored in, they are 18-13 going into the SEC tournament.
  17. That could be notable. Uncommitted 3 star 6'3" pg.
  18. l'm also counting this: https://www.wilx.com/2026/02/18/ucla-coach-mick-cronin-sounds-off-reporter-after-loss-michigan-state/ The crazy things to me about Cronin ejecting his own player are that: 1. The 'flagrant foul' wasn't really flagrant at at all; it was a backup big chasing down a play and getting mostly ball from behind. 2. Cronin's primary postgame gripe (besides his "Are you talkin' to me?!?" silliness to a reporter) is that his team isn't nearly physical enough. So he puts in a backup in a blowout, the kid chases a turnover really hard and gets to the run out, and Cronin humiliates the kid in front of 15,000 people. 3. The kid he 'ejected' is a former MSU student ... not basketball player; a student. He tried to be an MSU student manager or walk-on before transferring out of state. So he probably had many friends at the game. Unless that Jamerson kid is already a pariah, that move by Cronin will completely lose that locker room. UCLA now falling towards the bubble and Cronin should be ashamed of himself. 19. Big money became rich by not putting a match to money. Big boosters want proof that it’s money well spent. Devries needs to prove his leadership is worth the investment, primarily because a big money booster now has the option to instead give more and more to the sure fire great investment that is IU Football.
  20. I’d guess it’s a fair bit more than us. Landenburg, Mara, McKenney, Morez, and Cadeau couldn’t have come all that cheap.
  21. MSU outrebounding the Men of Mick 23-11.
  22. I was kinda kidding, but not really. They will surely take some joy when they (likely) beat us at their home to split. But I’ll file it under “you win some and lose some” with one eye towards our one month old undefeated football season. It’s an incredible time to be a Hoosier, and a “just okay” time to be a Boilerer. Them winning a home bball game with their good but not great team is like a teensy speck of dust in my very happy eyes.
