  1.     Me too.   Good gawd, I am old.       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84RxK4N1wfE
  2. They can see Russia from their houses, and IUBB on BTN2GO!
  3. "The Waiting Is The Hardest Part"   Tom Petty, 1981 IU Fanbase, 2015
  4. I know, I know.   BTW; "what kind of a dumb-ass tries to guard Marquis Teague with Jordan Hulls and Danny Moore" is an obscure reference meant to highlight the fact that Will Sheehey seemed to play quite well against UK.   Ya just gotta read into it a bit.
  5. I can't remember "Wat" happened in that game either.  ;) get it?   However, I am "Jones"-ing for the time to "pass"  so it starts. ;) nice, huh?   Additionally, I am in a "what kind of dumb-ass tries to guard Marquis Teague with Jordan Hulls and Danny Moore" mood. ;) wink, wink!
  6. Go IU   Get the freshmen involved. Play defense for all 40 minutes (okay...38 minutes would also be fine). Get Middle School Bob in the scoring column.   Beat the ever-loving piss out of 'em.
  7. Ummmm...   Verdell Freakin' Jones III is averaging 14.0 ppg and 3.4 apg while starting on a 9-5 NBA DLeague team.    Is it just a little bit remotely possible that VJ3 could sniff the end of an NBA bench one of these days?!?
  8.     True that!
  9.     It's not that making the dance every season should be a minimum; it should not be. However, we should be making the tournament almost every season, save for that outlier where we are crushed by injuries or unexpected early departures. I'd say nine out of ten would be about right.   What is unacceptable is that for the third straight season, we are nowhere near one of the top twenty teams in the country. We should be a top twenty team about 80/90% of the time, and be ranked better than that the majority of the time.
  10.   I ain't saying it's because he has had to spend so much time with OSU starting point guard Jaquan Lyle...   But I'm definitely saying it could be.
  11.   My read is that after losing a couple in a row he's not as happy as when he wins a couple in a row.   That having been said, I hope he loses a bunch a bunch a bunch in a row.
  12. Also, his assist to turnover ratio is nearly twice as good as Troy's
  13.   I don't think he's the best player on the team, but I have little doubt that he is the most reliably good player.
  14. He's just what we are hoping for: He defends. Not just compared to the rest of the team. He really defends. Turnovers are way down from last year. Shooting is fantastic. Serious minded player; by all accounts an excellent teammate.   Rojo tends to slip under the radar, but if we pull this season together, Rojo will be a big reason why we are good.
  15.   Kevin McHale turns 58 next week. There is no way in the world that Ainge wants anyone but Brad Stevens leading the Celtics. That's not to say Stevens couldn't prefer the Midwest or college, but it is very clear that the NBA perceives him as the next coming of Popovich.
  16.   That's deceptive.   The Celts are 13-9. They are only 1.5 games out of the conference lead, and one game out of ninth place. Usually anything over .500 makes the playoffs in the NBA when it's all said and done (I realize that's not currently the case), but it will probably end up that way this year too.   The Celtics also have a boatload of high-end, superstar potential draft picks in the next few years.
  17. Psst...Archie Miller had another big win yesterday.   The guy isn't as known around here as Brad Stevens, but he is really, really good.
  18. The Celtics are winning and winning and winning and winning.
  19.   I would speculatively generalize that either 13 B1G wins and Sweet Sixteen, 11 B1G wins and Elite Eight, or 9 B1G wins and Final Four will save CTC's job.
  20.   That picture gives great illumination on the mysterious injury he suffered:   Juwan has had to learn to adjust to the third foot that he now has growing out of his backside.
  21. Nice. A quick "I'm gonna record this dinner" announcement, everyone chuckles, and you're all set! Go get em counselor.
  22.   Sit under the table with a digital recorder.
  23. Saying neither of two players will do anything their freshman season is not equating them:   "Sam Dekker will not be better than LeBron James this season, and neither will Grant Gelon".
  24. I think that you could make Buckley, Martin, or Judson the interim coach for the rest of the season. That would cost the university millions in pre-July firing buyout dollars though.
  25. I can sum up all these concerns and "how can this be happening?" mysteries in one word:   Coaching.
