  1. A buffet of Yogi-love (even the naysayer article can produce only "he's not yet the greatest of all time"): http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/nba/dallas-mavericks/full-court-press-blog/article129749904.html http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/yogi-ferrell-is-the-bolt-of-energy-the-dallas-mavericks-needed-013117 http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/nba/dallas-mavericks/article129743594.html http://www.wfaa.com/sports/nba/mavericks/overreaction-yogi-ferrell-is-the-goat/394943895 http://www.mavsmoneyball.com/2017/1/31/14448862/yogi-ferrell-is-awesome-mavericks-nba-the-morning-after “He’s on pace to have one of the greatest 10 days of all-time,” said Harrison Barnes, who finished with 24 points and a season-high 11 rebounds. “He’s just playing with so much heart, and offensively and defensively, he’s had some tough matchups, but he’s brought it every single night and the guys’ giving us a chance.” Ferrell even stood his ground with Cavs All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who collected 18 points on only 7-of-21 shooting, and also had five rebounds, five assists and six turnovers. “He’s very persistent (and) played good defense,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “He’s a guy that has the energy to pick up full (court) and chase a guy like Irving around. “We gave him very specific instructions about how to try to make it hard on him and he really followed everything to a tee. He just made it tough on him.” Irving hooked Ferrell and was charged with an offensive foul midway through the fourth quarter. On the ensuing trip up the floor, Seth Curry 916 points) poured in a 3-pointer to pad the Dallas cushion to 97-83. With the Cavs bearing down and trying to save face, Ferrell drained a 3-pointer to increase the Mavs’ lead to 100-85. Form there, Ferrell forced another Cleveland turnover and then dazzled the crowd when he pranced to the basket and perfectly negotiated a left-handed scoop shot which provided the Mavs with a comfortable 102-85 lead with 3:53 remaining in the game.
  2. Dallas Mavericks without Yogi: 16-30 Dallas Mavericks with Yogi: 2-0 {Wins at San Antonio, at home against Cleveland.}

  8. A flash card to identify the lion or one to help the lion know when to call out screens? [emoji849]
  9. It is always (often?) darkest before the dawn. 'Course, for me, Sampson was waaay darker times. But this is plenty gloomy enough.
  10. Easy-peasy: With a mutually agreed upon parting of the ways in April for $1.2 million. Edit: Or, as others have noted, with a $200,000 "relocation allowance" as incentive to leave a little early, even if he makes up the salary somewhere else. Bottom line; CTC's agent can make it work easily.
  11. Oooh...Hova needs to order the chicken salad on untoasted rye with potato salad, and tea!
  12. I am racking my brain, and I cannot think of any occasion in which a coach has moved from one head coaching job to another within the B1G. While allowable, I believe that happening would be impossible.
  13. As of this morning's update, ESPN has us still in, as a 9 seed.
  14. We reach critical mass...by blowing a five point lead in the last three minutes of the game.
  15. That Bozich tweet is really bad news for CTC. Not the kind of thing CTC wants tweeted by a smart, nice guy who usually promotes the program and is concerned about press/team access. AND... Rabjohns tweeted about the staff having to hold up "Call Out Screens" basic grade school signs during the game. When the reporters who are attached to the team start to highlight the embarrassing moments...
  16. This game is extraordinarily consequential for the Tom Crean era at IU. Why? It is a game we'll be favored to win, and might not. If we don't it could be the last game we're favored to win during the B1G season, save for maaaaybe a quite losable home game against Michigan. On Wednesday we might level the ship, we might at least restore some level of stability for the rest of the season, or we might start an avalanche.
  17. Dallas broke a 12 game losing streak by winning at San Antonio. Yogi was the Dallas leader in plus/minus, had seven assists and zero turnovers in 36 minutes, and hit two game clinching free throws with seven seconds left. That's as good as it gets.
  18. The entire season, for sure. But maybe not much longer than that.
  19. Communists are notoriously mature? [emoji851]
  20. Apparently this will be closer to a "Grayson Allen indefinitely" than a "Collin Hartman indefinitely."
  21. I dunno... I think the board is running about 75/25 for both Archie, Holtman, and Nored. Also, Fife is at about 30%.
  22. This must have legs. Usually pap is the serious, mature one amongst us. [emoji12]
  23. Illinois back to making Illinois look bad. [emoji12]
