  1. Yeah I have no problem if he has the potential to be a decent shooter. Being a 50% free throw shooter should tell you what you need to know. Numerous players have been able to carve out a niche career doing other things that help a team win. But as was said on the last page, that would just make too much sense. I really do think Justin could be a good player on a good team. Some people just can’t shoot outside a specific range. I think he could be a top 3-4 player in level of importance on a winning IU team as he has tools others just don’t have. I think we will have a good idea early on what to expect for the year. I am cautiously optimistic for this year. A lot depends on Hunter and his health. Ready for the season to get started. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. That is who I wanted as Athletic Director when we hired Glass. The guy just has won at everything he has done in life and I am beyond thankful for him being a Hoosier. Great listen! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. Honestly straight from NCAA to NFL I would think is closer to 50%. There just aren’t many that do it. Saban and Spurrier are most notable busts. I thought Dave Wandstedt was in that convo and he was a D Coordinator in the NFL right before the Bears job. Most cases involved a successful coach coming up on an investigation or a huge money offer. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Agreed. I don’t think Giorgi is one of the 25 best players in the league, but I also didn’t think when he said Illinois has 3 of the best players in the league that’s where the bar went either. I see Giorgi splitting time with Mr. Cockburn so he won’t get the numbers he got last year. To me they didn’t really improve their roster. Pretty hard to jump from 12 wins to lock in tournament with no noticeable upgrades. I am also not exactly sold on Michigan being in the position most assume. They lost a lot and nobody knows what to expect from Howard. I will also be curious of how well Purdue does. Taking my fan goggles off, losing a national player of the year type hurts bad for anyone. Especially a team that doesn’t turnover those type of players regularly. I think Iowa is a really intriguing team in the B1G. If they can avoid the back half B1G schedule implosion I think can be really decent. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. Illinois has 3 of the best players in the Big Ten? Are you serious? As for Indiana I don’t expect them much better. But going from 17 to 18 or 19 which is what I predict isn’t exactly crazy versus 12 to 20 plus. If you can’t see that I have no clue what to tell you. 6. They won 12 games last year with the same player on their squad. They have went 11-27 in conference under Underwood. There is no rational whatsoever to put them there. They gained 1 hovering top 50 ranked player. The rest are not ranked. How do you go from a 12 win team to a lock without adding much of anything? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. Yeah I don’t think Penn St makes it. At best Illinois is a bubble team to me. They haven’t been good at all and are still young. They aren’t exactly lining up elite players either so I have no clue. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. The difference is Yogi was the #1. He was expected to do everything offensively. I don’t think you put the ball in Green’s hands and say score. Sheehey was a bench player that just was never a starter. He couldn’t really shoot from outside. Green is very different. This feels more like the year after than 2013-14. Plus having depth inside. I think the only thing similar is having 1 pg. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. I think most everyone expects him to be our leading scorer. No more, no less. Whether that’s good or bad, we will have to wait and see. I think that’s the discussion. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Yeah we need his shooting too bad for him not to. In a down shooting year he will still be in a better position offensively to help than Al probably will. But I have never seen a 30 mpg player not start. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. I will take both happily. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Man it sure is hard not to dream of what it could look like. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  13. I thought for sure Allen really did a piss poor job on Saturday. He couldn’t even win when there was no opposition. What a jerk. Let’s fire his @$$!!! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Very different. Very well played by the kid. Bet he had one hell of a night due to that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  18. No. Before the publications came out Zion was 2/3 on that team. RJ was thought to be ahead of Zion before the season. While others had questions about his position and had Reddish 2nd. You are too young to have memory issues. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Yeah it was a weird year for player appreciation lol. Normally there is one head and shoulders above the rest. There were just a lot of players for various reasons. I am with you on your two. Deron and Devonte are just too important. We went as they went versus Juwan or Romeo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. I think that Texas Tech v Louisville game is gonna be huge for them. They play Iowa at home and DePaul on the road. They could easily have an inflated record and a very weak resume. Not sure how many Quad wins up in conference. Kentucky has an interesting schedule. Kind of feast or famine. If they come out strong they are going to be locked into a top 2 seed. They can get enough wins and Quad wins that will look better than some of the ACC teams beating up on each other. At this point my picks for the top seeds would be MSU, UK, Duke, and Kansas. Lol who in the hell should win from that? I hope a 2 seed but I think there will be some high level basketball this season and I am beyond ready for it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. What’s a ranking matter if the whole thing was based on most intriguing matchups? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. And Devonte and Deron and Justin and Damezi and Fitzner. Now I know you didn’t miss all of that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. Could be worse. I went over to check GBI reaction and first thread is fkfootball trying to trade Allen and multiple players for Brohm. When they discuss IU fans after that what can you really say? Edit: I did click on their football forum so I definitely take the blame for that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. Enjoy fellas. I love going but unfortunately I don’t get to go as of now. Love that day. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  25. Wonder why Deron is not. I really thought he would be based off exit interviews. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
