  8. You are correct. I am going senile in my old age. These 30’s are no joke. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. From his replies looks like he was already at Nicks. Ha, wonder what the kitchen is like when a recruit comes in? “Don’t f up the food or your @$$ is fired!!!” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. I would definitely go with the over. I have us at 19, but that seems to be the lowest we have seen. Well they are looking for action. Everyone is low. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. Relationships sound like his most important thing. That’s fantastic! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Yeah that was my initial thought when I posted where would Lander fit? That is a beautiful lineup that would fit what Archie would like to do. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. For sure I was talking mainly about his time in the B1G. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. And that I couldn’t disagree with that. Crean’s career at IU we went to the Sweet 16s. Got us a 1 seed. Turgeon has dramatically underperformed in the tournament. But during the regular season since they came to the B1G I would have taken Turgeon’s consistency over Crean. At some point when you have that many pretty good teams it will pay off. But neither one is exactly someone I would feel overwhelmingly strong about. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Wonder where Lander would fit in there? I truly hope Archie does something crazy for next year. The Final Four is in Indy. We aren’t remotely close yet, but a man can dream. Those lineups look good as hell to me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Me too. I never thought much of Gottfried. I always thought Crean would be the second best of the group. I suppose he was, but my mind had all 3 going at least somewhat better. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. That was a real good read. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. Sweet! I don’t think it matters too much. I think he is clearly better, but I see this being a ground game mostly. By that I think we are closer to 50/50 - run/pass than we are any other game this year. If Penix plays we could stretch with play action if we go that route. If we can keep them under 150 yards rushing we win I feel. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. This game is all about running the ball and defending the run. They average 192 yds running the ball, but are giving up 188 yds per game running the ball. We can easily stack the box against them. They can’t do that with us. I know some are down on Ramsey as the reason we won’t win. I don’t think at all he is the key to the degree some do. I think us getting Scott the ball early and often is how we win. Defensively Nebraska is not good. They are better against the pass than the run. Offensively they are one dimensional as well. 20. Remember when Mark Gottfried, Tom Crean, and Turgeon was the next wave of great coaches? I do. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. That’s pretty fair. The staffs they have to develop the players have more impact than the coaches themselves. But if his biggest issue is juggling stars (I agree there) how can he truly win at that level? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. You are literally pointing to one situation over his 25 year career with a group that was never going to be cohesive as a group as your reasoning why “he isn’t that great”. That makes no sense. Ginobili was the 57th pick in the draft. Tony Parker was the 28th pick. Obviously they had talent, but if you feel they would have been equal to what they were on say the Hornets I will flat out disagree. It is virtually impossible to be the same player from team A to team B when the situation, coaching, and teammates are different. Your other stuff got deleted. Because he has proven to be the best coach in the NBA. He is on Mount Rushmore with Phil Jackson and Red. There is literally no way to deny what the man has done. Let alone over a national team of fifth stringers thrown together at the last minute. At least we are past tanking talk from a time you weren’t even alive. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. They did not tank for Duncan. Robinson started the season hurt. Then played 6 games only to get hurt again. They were expected to be a playoff team that year. At the time Robinson was enough for a perennial playoff birth. But you bring up Ginobili and Parker. That’s kind of my point. Look at where they were drafted. Along with Leonard. That’s where you expect to find great talent and find a perennial winner? When you do it with different situations and players consistently you are that good. That organization was in no way great before him. That’s like saying the Bulls were a great organization and Phil Jackson had a plan. Come on man. If it were that easy every team would be that way. I know that isn’t really a hot take, but sometimes it really is just that simple. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Man this will be unpopular but are we at a point where we can say Stevens isn’t a good developer of talent? Great X’s and O’s guy. Easily top 5 at any level. Up there with Pop, but Pop produced talent constantly at the back end of the first. That’s not all luck. But in the NBA you need stars. They have had a few top 5 picks. No superstars. Honestly in the right situation I think Tatum or Brown could have been. Their young kids are getting to a point and really not getting any better. Would love to hear from BGleas how he feels on that because nobody pays as close of attention. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. It’s about to be crazy for a couple of weeks with info coming out with him signing in the fall (general feeling out there). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
