Mike Davis recruitment question

Sorry for making an entire new thread, but I couldn't find one based completely on Mike Davis. So here's my question. I know Mike Davis had ties to Alabama, considering we got DJ White. But was Christian Watford a result of Davis' recruiting or Crean's? He was a sought after recruit (34th ranked on Rivals)so I can't imagine that Crean managed to snag him in one year, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you.

Bennie Seltzer was the main. They recruited him while at Marquette and could promise immediate PT at IU. That was all Crean and Seltzer.
