1. They keep their pick. Depending on who is taken in the first 3, let's say Towns, Okafor and Russell, then the best picks for the Knicks are Emmanuel Mudiay and Kristaps Porzingis. Both wild cards. Both played overseas. Both have a ton of potential. Mudiay is a Derrick Rose/Russell Westbrook type. Athleticism, size and power. Porzingis is like most Euro players. He's very good offensively but he's also a great athlete that can run the court. But which would fit the triangle offense better? That's who the Knicks will take.
2. Trade up. The Knicks could trade up to the 2 or 3 spot.... maybe. That'd obviously let them take Towns, Okafor or Russell. Idk how they'd do it... the Knicks have nothing.
3A. Trading down. This will get spilt into two. There are two teams I know of that want to move up. Both have veteran pieces to trade to the Knicks plus their pick. The 1st is trading down to where Denver is. Denver is wanting to move up and the Knicks aren't sold on taking anyone at 4 other than the Top 3. The Knicks could trade their #4 pick to the Nuggets for Ty Lawson and their #7 pick. Nuggets could take Mudiay. Knicks would have several options. Winslow, Hezonja, WCS, Johnson, Oubre, Payne Lyles and others. Plus the Knicks would be getting a vet in Lawson.
3B. Trading down to the Pacers. The Pacers have the #11 pick. The Pacers also have Roy Hibbert. Would Hibbert be willing to opt in and get traded to New York? The Pacers would then get the #4 pick. The Knicks would get the #11 pick.
