PG and a big wing/3 for me. Put DeVries as a 4/PF and Bailey as C/5. -

Did Pack steal your lunch money? That’s a lot of accusation without any proof. -

I’ll never be overly concerned with a Buzz Williams coached team. Tough and scrappy but emphasizes athleticism over actual skill. Watched it for years at Marquette and nothing has changed since. -
Giving players a designation 1-5 doesn’t dictate skillset. But it makes for clarification when discussing rosters. It’s why many of us use 1-5 or PG, SG,SF, PF, C. Doesn’t mean players can’t step out and shoot it or be excellent drivers of the ball etc.

I don’t think he is building what he had at West Virginia. Going and getting Bailey who is a Center/5, means we have a guy at the 5 who will be able to stretch the floor. His son will play some 3 and the 4, will stretch the floor. From the rumors I think 1-5 will all be able to stretch the floor offensively. He didn’t have that at WV.

Stretch 4. Ideally have a 5 out system if we can get a C who can shoot it.

I think maybe that the plan? Put him as PG with a team of 4 others that can score on the court with him. -
I’m ok with a guy on staff that can be an elite recruiter.

I think IU needs a more dynamic SG than Sencire Harris. Happy he isn’t coming to IU. I’d be happy with Pack at PG, but he needs to have a top end SG to pair with him. -
I don’t know anything about the guy. But how could an assistant for Barnes and a top 10 team have zero knowledge of ball?

Why wouldn’t we want Clark?

2025 NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament Discussion

If you win then it doesn’t matter as the voices of the sport will support it. K, Roy Williams, Self, Calhoun, Izzo, etc. -
I could see that. I think they will play both.

Oh I agree. Outside of Bruce Pearl, there wasn’t a team or coach I would be excited to see win it all. -
So if we get Bailey and Pack we would have this: PG: Pack, Enright SG: SF: DeVries/Sisley PF: Goode (see no way he doesn’t get another year. When a game is played doesn’t matter in football so it won’t hold up in basketball) C: Bailey Need to focus in on some athletic multi level threats at SG. Then get some depth. Get a couple more freshmen as well.

This aged well. Haha. I went to bed when Houston was down 10 with like 7 minutes left. Hahaha. Should have stayed up. -
2025 NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament Discussion

Except he didn’t burn the program to the ground. IU self imposed penalties on themselves. IU could have chosen to back Sampson and they chose to go the other way over phone calls. Meanwhile Duke boosters are buying players families houses, giving 6 figures in jewelry away etc. Coach K just smiles and is viewed as a saint. College basketball has been dirty since before UCLA won its titles. Roy Williams would give large “graduation gifts” to players at Kansas. Pitino, Calhoun, the list keeps going. To win in college basketball you’ve always had to skirt the rules. Even Knight broke rules but just in a different way, player abuse. When you hire a guy like Sampson then you need to be prepared to play by his rules. It was like a year later the NCAA changed the rule he broke anyway. Heck Florida’s current coach sends dick pics to coeds and then charges get dropped, sounds like a payoff to me. Go Houston. -

That was my thought for most of the year. But they are generally very well coached and run good stuff. That’s translating well in the tournament. I’m looking forward to the title game vs Florida. Probably pull for Duke. Scheyer doesn’t come across as being slimy like the Florida coach. -

The top 2 teams will be playing each other on Monday. Since early Feb I’ve felt Duke and Florida were 1-2 in any order. -

I haven’t looked at other Big Ten rosters. Who are the elite point guards who will expose Enright? -
Are the coaches in San Antonio for the Final Four? If so, I’d expect the staff to be rounded out by the beginning of the week.
