It will be interesting to see if they take the next step and contribute next year or if they transfer out. I’d assume our center is red shirting and developing. But who knows.

We didn’t spend wisely on Bailey and Tucker DeVries. Not that Tucker isn’t good enough to play, he just shouldn’t be a top 2 earner and it costs us on what we could of had available for other players. I hope Darian has learned some lessons of roster construction for this coming offseason.

Good coach but I agree. Was not the style I wanted to see at IU. I think both schools should be happy with their new hires at this point.

Good luck to the kid. Probably will be a great player in the pros. But any kid going to Arkansas isn’t serious about winning in college. They are serious about getting to the NBA. And for IU I want to see wins.

For sure. I was just running with it. I was listening to a Mississippi State fan talk about how if IU could do it then anyone can. lol. No way Mississippi State can do what IU just did.

As someone who is not a IU football fan, but enjoyed them winning, the Cignetti comparisons are funny to me. I see national people saying every school think they have e chance bc IU did it. Um no they don’t. Cignetti is a unicorn, once in a generation coach AND he went to a school with deep pockets to help fund it. Kansas St can’t do that. Arizona St can’t do that. I agree with you on being encouraged with DeVries. I’m not even upset we didn’t get Dusty. College basketball can have multiple good coaches and I think DeVries is a good coach. Let’s make the dance and see how he cooks in the portal this offseason. But I’m looking forward to a March Madness with IU in it.

I didn’t believe we were a tourney team in December or the early part of the year. But I do believe we have found something and are going to be dancing this year. Which is huge for the program moving forward. Just keeping winning the home games.
