SEC finishes on Sunday at 3. 2.5 hours isn’t much. What matters is overall talent of the team and how well they play together. 1 extra days rest for 18-23 year olds is negligible at best.

I believe that’s been proven to be a myth. This year Houston, Duke, and Florida are all in the final four and won the conference tournaments. Auburn got beat by Tennessee in the semi finals of the SEC tournament. Duke and UNC traditionally have done well in the ACC tournament and in the NCAA’s the same year. Same with Kansas. the key is to be elite and you can win them all.

It’s way more important than a preseason tournament. It’s also an auto bid for the NCAA’s. So it’s important for sure. You can have a preference for one over the other. But winning 1 of the 3 championships makes for a successful season imo.

How about like Dusty May this year. He choked away the regular season title but redeemed himself winning the Big Ten Tournament. It’s not an either or. And I didn’t say DDV has to win each every year. Just be in the hunt and plenty of accolades will come. And to be honest now that the conference is so big and schedules unbalanced, the conference tournament should take a bigger president on who the real champ is…see the ACC

Fully disagree. As a massive European soccer fan it’s about winning trophies. We have a chance for 3 a year. Big Ten regular season, BT Tournament, and the NCAA Tournament. We should be trying to win all 3 every year.

Yeah Duke is the real deal. Top offensive team in the country and 4th defensive efficiency. Florida is 2nd offensive and Auburn is 3rd. Both are also top 10 defensively. Moral of the story to me is that to really have a shot at a national title, DDV will need to get us to a top 10 level in both offense and defense. It’s also why I wasn’t a believer in the Zeller team that got a 1 seed. Great offensively but were around the same level defensively as bama’s def eff ranking this year. Quality team but not good enough.

This year wasn’t bad still top 30 kenpom def efficiency. But he has only 1 elite defensive year and the rest have been bad.

Bama dying by the 3 tonight. And their defense isn’t elite to keep it closer. Game is over imo.

Usually I enjoy the first weekend and then the S16 can kinda suck bc of some previous upsets. I’m excited to see this elite 8 and final four from a quality standpoint.

If he is 8 or 9, then I don’t have an issue with it. I won’t get down on any player coming at this point. Once the final roster is set then maybe we can be critical. But the other names we’ve seen from burner accts sound good to me.

I’m only worried about our top 7-8 players for next year. Looking at the teams that played in the S16 they are playing 7-8 players. we will need to land a PG better than Enright to get where we want to go. I’m wanting a Dusty May level year 1. The resources are there. Build the team. Stay healthy.

I really like this hire. I liked the day it was announced and I like it more now. I believe he will do a great job and take us where we want to go. Maybe not year 1 but we will be back to being Indiana again over time. This is actually the first hire since Knight was fired that I’ve been excited about. Sampson is a good coach but didn’t want him due to violations. Obviously Davis was over his head. Crean I was skeptical. I didn’t get the Archie love a lot of people had in that search. I was arguing for other candidates throughout the cycle. Woodson nobody wanted. I gave them all a chance but they all proved to not be the guy.
