In trying to familiarize myself with DDs line-up construction habits, I'm not sure if it's been largely out of design or necessity. With massive resources will we see something that's a bit different? He's a smart guy with a plan and I don't think the conference style of play will surprise him. Land one high dollar guy to be option 1 or 1a to TD, preferably a pg. Get 2 or 3 rugged interior guys to rotate in and out in the paint, and the rest shooters. I'm not sure of three names left whether they've met with the coach yet or will they today and will see more transfer out activity.

Conwells the better defender. Did you see Magoon Gwath hit the portal to go along with Dishon Jackson? -

I've never received a poorer response than when I've asked. "Hey whatta you think about Isaac McNeely. " lol crickets. -

He wouldn't be a starter. He would fill the Yesufu roll on this year's team. Former Drake player. -

So far I don't see any point guards that look any better than Rice or Maik Mack did last year. I hope we're on top of Isaac McNeely right now. Last year was the block buster year for bigs in the portal. This year looks to be more modest. Nick Pringle and Oscar Cliff look like my favorites so far. The wings of T-Rock, Goode, Powell and Sisley are pretty solid. The guards it should break loose this week. -

Joseph Yesufu was at Drake for 2 years, transfered to Kansas and he brought him into WVU last year. He was a back-up point guard. -
If you wanted one of the best defensive minds, Mark Adam's of Ole Miss is an old former coach. He's not Drew's dad. Frazier familiarity with the big ten and recruiting chops would be a positive for our staff.

When will Conwell hit the portal?
-
Where would someone be able to find this sort of information?
-
I hope it comes together next week. Navigating the portal will require a full staff.

Murray has the offense and Young the defense. Young is the architect of the initial game plan and Hurley runs practice and is the personality and face of the program.
-
Jeff Meyer was Eric seniors coach and close friend, Sampson coincidentally added him to his staff and that really helped.

If you told me I had to choose between Pope, Underwood and DeVries, I'd be excited to have DeVries.

A 2y, 2nd year team option.

Mgbako seems to have some intellectual shortcomings. I think he is dumber than a bag of hair actually. -
Stirtz family is a big time Kansas State family. He grew up wanting to play for them. That could be interesting to watch.
-
I'm unfamiliar with how Coach DeVries delegates responsibilities within a staff. What does he specifically need? Is everybody doing it like UConn these days? I don't know.
-
This will be exciting in a couple of weeks. We'll learn alot about our new staff. It's going to be interesting to see who he targets once the portal really breaks loose. I'm visualizing a roster similar to Iowa States the last two years. Hopefully he puts an emphasis on big, physical guards.

Noah Williamson Bucknel 7 footer. I've not seen him play, but his numbers are impressive. -
I think Mike Lewis and Sherron Wilkerson would bring a lot to the team. Mike has a job though. I'm not sure Calbert wants the grind of being a bench coach. I may be mistaken. Hulls may feel the same.

93 years, 2 successful coaching hires, 28 we're good. Did we defy the odds this time?

Coach Knight is a special case in the history of college basketball. 100 wins at 30 years old. 2 banners at 40 and 3 total by 48. He admired Iba, Newell, Bee, Taylor, and I'm sure learned from them but he was fully formed in his 30s. That's not something that's common and probably unlikely moving forward. Coach DeVries needs to be himself. You can always grow as a coach and he should be fine.
