There is more to the IU Athletic Department than just basketball. Coach Cig is thought to be a strong hire. He has done enough to keep Moren from looking for greener pastures with all the success she’s had. The baseball program has been ranked. Many of the Olympic sports programs have done extremely well. I agree, he’s going to have to nail the next basketball hire, but when looked at in totality, he’s got IU athletics performing well.

Push back on this a bit. NIL is not because of the fans. NIL is because a basketball player from UCLA sued the NCAA and courts found his complaint valid, thus creating NIL. NIL is funded by folks with deep pockets who expect something in return for their investment....appearances, endorsement of product, etc. Yes, players have now gone to promoting themselves via selling gear, etc. They also promote and probably receive fees from social media. And its' the same axiom as anything else, if you don't want to support someone, don't buy what they're selling.

I understand your sentiments completely, and agree that we need to beat the better teams to be taken seriously.. He did not position his statement about the last 10 games. Like I said, backing up criticism with accurate statements provides for a better response than posting partial truths, which then causes the thought that there's an agenda behind the post.
