Plenty of power 5 teams had lost in exhibition games. Off the top of my head I can remember OSU and MSU and Syracuse losing in years past

So it sounds like they are weeding out teams from the small conferences

Very sad news but are you serious that is one of your favorite teams. For me that was my least favorite team of all time

I really don't remember Utah before Urban Meyer but he was successful and left. Ever since then they have been very successful.

I would say no current players would ever play for RMK and his style of coaching

Probably right but saying we should look at younger guys who has had success at a smaller program

I know he will but making the point that ARE wouldn't he at the top of my list

The thing is we can argue who we would want the hire but I doubt we will even have an opening after this season.

I would hire a guy like Coastal Carolina coach and if he comes here does great and leaves that would mean our program is in good shape. I think a lot of the better coaches started out at smaller programs and moved up. Meyer went to BG then to Utah and then Florida. OSU hired Tressell from Youngstown State and it worked out well. I see that people wished we kept Deborer over TA and his defense not HC came from a small non power 5 team.

The thing is ARE has not even been a coordinator and that lack of experience would make me vote against hiring him

You better hope the women's team does well or you are going to look like a fool. I hate it that a supposedly an IU fan tries to bash every other sport to make the women's team look good. Last year the men's team went as far as the women's team did in the tournament

Jefferies never played like a center at all. Yes he posted up some but he was more of a wing player and yes he brought the ball up a lot.
