Most top programs don't use all 13 scholarships. It sounds like with NIL that it might be harder to get 13 scholarship players. Right now Arkansas only has 9 scholarship players

I still think Hurley will stay at UCONN because of his family not wanting to leave the east coast. I see him going to the NBA some day but it will be a team like Philly or Brooklyn

If Hurley leaves I would have to think that UCONN would have to hire one of the assistants as a interim coach. It is pretty late in the process to go out and make a national search.

Name a successful coach who doesn't have some arrogance to them. At a place like IU football you have to be arrogant to get people to believe in you.

I have been saying for years anyone expecting us to get a huge name is very naive. Just look who UK, UM and OSU hired this year as well as teams like Villanova, Syracuse, UNC and Duke the last few years.

It is legal now so why are you complaining about paying players. UCLA and UK won a lot of championships paying players and I thought that is what you want. I just realized why I stopped posting in this thread because of how some are so closed minded. Like I said I wanted him gone as much as anyone but he wasn't fired so I am going to back the team including the coach. Some just won't sit back and let this season play out so they just keep bitching and moaning about the same thing over and over again. I realize some can never let themselves to relax and just look forward to the future. It must be miserable to always look at everything in a negative light and do this all off season where the season doesn't start for another 6 months.

So what, this fan base with Hurley's first three years or coach K's first 4 years would have ran both out of town. When people see these comparisons they look at the finish product but at the time neither Hurley or coach K had any kind of resume.

So if Woodson's first year was no tournament, second year win play in game, third year win first round game would you say that Woodson made gradual improvements

Don't bring up Coach K's first 4 years at Duke plus his losing record at Army

To me some of the most vocal against Woodson wants to be proven right in their opinion. I see them wanting to be right more than actually seeing IU win with Woodson as coach. I want to be proven wrong because all I care about is IU winning games

Amen I haven't posted in this thread since late March. I just can't believe people are still posting in this thread because he is here next year. Everyone knew I wanted a change to be made but they didn't make a change so I am actually going to support this team and coach. I hope we win big and make me look like an idiot to want a new coach.

If the change is for the good of something then I am all for it. All of this change in college sports is not for the good.

If I remember right Fairfield almost won. I was at the game where Princeton beat UCLA which was magical. I am just saying I have no interest in watching more mediocre power conference teams in the tournament.

I am not really that old(53) but I like what I like and hate for it to change so much.

The huge TV contracts for college basketball has led to all of this. I know I am the old man yelling at the clouds but the past were just simpler with college sports and for me a lot better.

I actually think conference expansion has been the worst thing to happen to college sports. Actually the worst thing is the greed of everyone involved in college athletics. They only saw $$$$ and not what was best for the sport itself
