I don't understand this thinking. I Do I think we will win big next year, probably not but I hope we have a great season next year. As long as we win I couldn't care who the coach that does it.

Maybe he needs new sources because they have not been right very often

Knowing this I hope we run the rest of the games. I hated the feeling the last couple of weeks hoping we play bad so there would be a coaching change. I am not wired that way and never want to root against my teams. I am going to try to enjoy the rest of our season and then turn my attention to the tournament. I still say bad College basketball is still better than no basketball

Totally agree, people need to realize these guys don't have real inside info. If these guys work in the athletic office and come to these boards with insider info they should be fired.

I will still watch and that will never change. I am not happy I was right but TD you he would be back. Also once again the fans on these message boards were once again fell for these do called rumors. How many times does this have to happen for you guys to realize that most of the rumors have no truth to them. It is all about traffic and clicks.

It shows writing emails or bitching on message boards doesn't help. For the ones who are through with IU just stop going to games because that is the only way fans can have their voice heard

If you are upset that is fine but why don't you just stop associating with program all together. You said you stopped watching which is fine but why not stop posting on boards. I am not happy with this decision but I will watch every game le I have for 50 years and hope for a great season.

Wonder if Stuben had something to do with this since he said people on this board should run for the BOT

I find it ironic the day after I sent Buckner an email about letting Dolson do his job, we get someone posting about the situation.

You do realize he was an assistant for 12 years

According to him he has invested 16 years of his life to IU so he has the right to be critical when needed.

He said under RMK they went into every game thinking they were going to kick everyone's @$$. He said they didn't always win but it is the kind of attitude you need to go into every game

He was talking about this with Micheal Lewis today and both said IU needs to get their swagger back. We need to get back to be better than just another program

He said we need more arrogance. He said we need to just update the good old days and not forget them all together.

DD was ripping IU fans for creating this petition. He said IU fans should be above things like this but we are no better than teams like Memphis. He said IU needs to get back to being above stuff like this. We need get back to where IU was cocky and we knew we were better than other programs. We need to stop bowing down to recruits and tell them if you want to come to IU we have a spot but you only have a short time to commit.

Dear Mr. Buckner I also would like to say that Mike and yourself are two of my favorite IU players I was fortunate to watch. Both of you embodied what an IU basketball player is supposed to be. I just hate to see both of you tarnish your reputation and legacy because of hiring Coach Woodson as your coach. I just hope you actually look at where the basketball program is and realize it needs to go in a new direction. If what we fans are hearing is true, that you are putting yourself ahead of what is best for the program at this time. It sounds like you are over stepping your duties and not letting the athletic department do their job. I know you are busy with your Pacer schedule and probably don't get to watch many college games. Let me assure you what we see on the court with IU doesn't match how other successful teams are running their programs. We have no real guard play and we play to many big men at a time. This isn't how it is done in today's college basketball. You watch NBA games and you definitely don't see teams playing this style of basketball. I really hope you will listen to what your AD has to say and let him do his job when it comes to the basketball program. Sincerely, Scott Roberts.

I find it funny how every few days the story changes in this coaching search. For a few days it would is they are definitely firing Woodson and they have a coach already in place. A few days later they throw out that Woodsy will probably be back. These people know II fans and this is just about clicks.

Why would you hire Beard who is tied for 9th in their conference. There best non conference opponent was Memphis and only beat Detroit by 1 points.

From these comments from Woodson makes me feel like he doesn't watch much college basketball. If he does he would see most teams don't play through the post

I think at first Woodson had good attention to come back and try to bring IU back to being relevant. I think he didn't realize how much work being a college coach is and hasn't been able to adjust to the college game. He probably thought he would come in and start in October and be done by April and then be off until next season There has been certain things he has said that makes me feel like he doesn't really understand how the college game works. Just a week ago talking about still having a chance to get to the tournament. I really don't blame him if he comes to the conclusion it is to much work for him at this age to keep coaching. To tell you the truth I don't know why anyone would want to coach college basketball in this current climate.

It is in my blood and have watched my whole life(53) so I won't stop now.
