From a lower power conference team and it wasn't a lateral move. I thought the only power conference coaches we could get was someone like Brownell who is at a lower power conference program. I think you can put Devries in that same category because WVU is not a top job. Also Devries has only been there 1 year donut made it easier to move on. I just think these assistant coaches have to move around a lot already so why move when you don't need to.

This has nothing to do with the quality of the IU job but more to do with the coaches being happy where they are at. These coaches just use other openings to get more money from their current employer. It just doesn't make since to make a lateral move at best and leave a very successful program. You don't want too your family across country if you don't think it is necessary so you don't mess with winning or happiness.

Well after One Shining Moment is over it is kind of sad knowing it will be 7 months until we see basketball again. Even though the play wasn't great to ight it is still better than no college basketball.

It was such a a simpler time with no stresses. Was talking about this at work the other day about what it was like it was in the 80's on summer break in a small town. You were outside all day and didn't come back until dinner time and then go back out until dark. It is a shame that kids today don't have that luxury because the world is a too dangerous place.

This season has been the least interested I have been in college basketball and things like this will start pushing farther away from it. With the product on the court already being worse than it use to be and now the portal and NIL are making it undesirable to watch. It probably will get to a point where I will watch IU and maybe the big ten and not much else. It is like that in the NBA for me where I will watch a Pacers game but can't remember the last time I watched a whole NBA game that didn't include the Pacers. If I wanted to watch professional basketball then I would watch the NBA

I also look how the NFL free agency goes and the first couple of days teams go hog wild and spend a lot of money. It seems like the teams that spend heavily early are the bad teams who have a lot of salary cap to spend. A lot of those signings don't work and the teams that are patient and wait until the prices go down are the the teams who win. I think this is what happens in the portal as well. With the rumor of the money that is being put out there then I rather wait until the huge spending is over. I would put Woodson's tenure as those bad NFL teams who spend wildly without a plan so they fail.

Watching this right now and it is a good watch
