Iowa has a few players out themselves. (As many teams). IU may find a new star behind Ponds. Isn’t that an expectation.

Both, Illinois and USC look overrated today. They both, look flat, slow and not much energy. I suppose that would be a potential positive for Iowa…..for USC and even little Illinois this game is like watching a toothache in first half. Boring!

IU was just more physical, quicker, faster, moving around vs Illinois slower team in every way didn’t know what hit them. IU fed off of home crowd. Now, Iowa will feed off home crowd and can IU keep a lot of bounce in there step and play with the amount of confidence and intensity needed to perform at Iowa??

Makalusky will play meaningful minutes unless she just completely fizzles on physicality. Spreen a glue player haha (some minutes but it’s going to be a long grind for her…enjoy life at IU kinda knowing her role; not bad really)

It does fit into T. Moren wants to get bigger and stronger…. Yes she is a very good player and fits in with the position/s she will play. G.B. did note that IU entered her recruiting battle late and from there started liking everything she saw. Goal is playing for National Championship.

Is this an indicator of current IU NIL status? And/or what is this player worth in NIL? She is not the highest rated player. 94 4 stars is good, not great. (considering young guard on team , guard coming (3 star) and is there another guard somewhere else whether hs or transfer portal)? Plus her instagram and twitter never had pics of IU visits other than IU listed in 4 visits with NC State, Iowa, and Georgia. However, it would be great for IU if she would choose IU because she has size and looks strong.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?? Is there any strategy for programs to drive NIL money up when bidding on a player to drain another school who gets recruit of nil/resources forcing school to pay a premium for a particular player.

Barring injury, foul troubles and will have to finish in traffic it would be a surprise to me if Zania is not an All Big Ten performer this year. Athleticism, strength with size with talent level can run the floor….with a coaching staff tailor made for her.

Major League Basketball and Big Ten Ready (match ups against big ten and similar opponents is going to be challenging especially overall talent and physically). Phoenix Stotjin, Lenee Beaumont (adjusting to recovery but should be ok), Jerni Kiaku, Edessa Noyan, Shay Ciezki, Zania Socka Ngnuemen (adjusting but should be ok) Especially Big Ten Maya Makalusky inconsistent plus physical curve and Navaeh Caffey lesser extent physical curve but learning curve (Pick nucleus from two groups above). Questionable Talent: Chloe Spreen? Faith Wiseman (big)? Sydney Fenn? Valentyna Kadlecova? Jade Odineme?

Pondering: 1. Does IU coach have Professional Football aspirations? 2. Does IU have a check ready to go to prevent a traditional historic program from taking him away? 3. Is that even in his thought process? 4. Make college football history at IU with a statue/stadium name/taken care of now and after coaching provided winning continues. (sounds great for him, really). 5. Fun times for IU football and a big help in recruiting for band, basketball men and women and other IU programs/ University image (immense value) vs IU coach risk….dealing with failure if he would leave because IU coach will end up with plenty of money/financially either way. Conclusion: keep him happy. First modern IU football coach to go out with winning record…in a big way…with a great life in Bloomington. (Best hire that solidifies Pam Whitten and Scott Dolson legacy).

Illinois offensive line first half was able or managed to do a lot of grabbing and holding.

This half vs Illinois IU defense reminds me of some of Saban/Bama defenses. Offensively IU reminds me of Franco Harris and the old Pittsburgh Steelers.
