  1. I did not have a Grant Gelon mention on my bingo card today. LOL
  2. Maybe it's addition by subtraction. Just getting rid of Woodson's "wisdom" might be of assistance...
  3. Yeah, this is what I was thinking. I thought the coach could call a timeout. We had 2. Why didn't Woody just call a timeout?
  4. Indiana University Basketball The Program of Moral Victories (TM)
  5. I wonder how much situational coaching Woodson does in practice? This might just be another example of a former NBA coach being a little out of touch coaching younger, less experienced guys. IU has been a mess in end-of-game situations. Just a thought...
  6. It's feeling like it, right? So that's 5 out of 6 lost, right? Isn't the Spring losing streak a little early this year? I'll be so glad when Woodson is gone...
  7. Rice's shot was terrible, but honestly, would we expect Woodson to draw up a better play after a time out?
  8. Funny thing is that Woodson's best coaching decisions are forced on him. Basically forced to play Leal by injuries and circumstances. Forced to not play Reneau due to injuries and foul trouble and play Goode more. Crazy.
  9. Purdue's achille's heel is still guarding the backcourt. Always is.
  10. And the difference between the coaches: One made adjustments at halftime. One ran exactly the same gameplan. Totally different game. Purdue has the better coach, but we all knew that.
  11. Clearly Painter made some halftime adjustments because everything has been through Kaufman-Renn
  12. Agreed. I feel like this might be as poorly as Purdue can play and is as well as IU has played in a long time. I was IU could've been up by more at half, but I'll take it.
  13. We booted Crean out before he got a chance to change? LOL He got 9 years! And his tenure at Georgia showed that he had zero intention of changing. Picking a case or two like Painter and then applying that to all underachieving coaching coaches is not exactly how reasonable evaluation works. Painter is an outlier. Usually coaches show you exactly who they are. Crean failed at Georgia after he failed at IU. Archie has failed at Rhode Island after he failed at IU. Davis has failed everywhere after he failed at IU. As we all know, the only decent coach IU has had post-RMK is Sampson, and he has shown that at Houston. This revisionist history about IU not giving coaches a chance is silly.
  14. Shhhhh....he's on a roll. Let him go. There's never been a single insider who has listed Brownell as a possible candidate (or Wade for that matter), but here we are...
  15. All of this negatively is so weird. There's never been a better time in college basketball for a big-time program to be struggling. With NIL and all of the money and the transfer portal, the ability of a good coach to flip a program quickly has never been easier. We're in the halycon days of stopping the suckage...LOL
  16. Dude. It just takes one coach. It's like Alabama football. Each coach isn't a slave to the history of the program. Everything is in place to be a monster, all IU needs is the right coach. You're so dramatic. LOL
  17. To be fair, the fans gave both Woodson and Crean more time than they probably should have. Crean deserved a lot more criticism than he received, especially in year 3. That was a much worse year than it should've been. He should have been facing some heat then, but he did have some better players coming in, so that mitigated things a bit, but the team showed some regression that year. And Woodson's coaching issues were very evident early in his coaching tenure. IU fans have gotten a bad reputation among B1G fans for not being patient...
  18. Is there a "Fire Cignetti" thread on the football board? Just curious. If you win, the fans will support you. If you lose, they'll complain. It's very simple. If Cignetti starts losing, people will turn on him, especially with his cockniness. People see it as confidence and swagger now. They'll like it a lot less if the football team is 2-9. Such is the life of a coach...
  19. Still more likely to get hired than Wade. IU would never offer the job to Wade in a million years. At least they would offer the job to Stevens.
  20. Cons of Wade: IU is more likely to rehire RMK at this point than hire someone who is completely sleazy and was caught on an FBI wire tap. LOL Can we please stop talking about Will F*cking Wade? Dude is never going to going to be hired by the admin of IU. Stevens is a much more realistic scenario than Wade at this point...
  21. Only if it's part of the process...
  22. Some of the attributes that made him such a dogged, hardnosed defensive player in college don't translate to not being an arrogant person that's easy to get along with in his post-playing career.
  23. Yikes. This is scary accurate.
  24. Alright, I'm going to add this stuff to my liquor cabinet. As a bourbon-lover, you guys are making me curious.
