I don’t know Dolson. Never met him. Some of my friends have and I believe them that he knows what he’s doing. Having said that, it’s not just trusting him. It’s trusting that IU has learned from past mistakes, especially Woodson. Now, it’s possible they haven’t. It’s possible we end up with Brownell and IU thinks that’s a homerun. But I just doubt it. So, I’m putting trust in both Dolson and IU getting out of their own way this time. This isn’t complicated. We would have to screw up not to end up with a top coach.

I’m going to treat this like a video game where you have to make a choice. I’m going to save my game at this spot and choose….I believe in our insider info and welcome Brad Stevens to IU. If that doesn’t turn out, I’ll reload the game and select…I’m not sure why people fell for that again. Welcome Scott Drew.

I’m not going to believe anything until I see it from Gojko.

I have no idea who any of you are but one thing I’ll share is this post to my grandkids and teach them never, ever get this butthurt on a message board. No money in it. Also, I agree that if Dolson has his guy, how could it be a current coach? Unless it’s someone like Drew who feels it’s time to move on from Baylor. And I don’t see Dolson getting his guy and it’s a coach like Cronin or Williams. Good coaches but not at the level where you have your guy that early. But I get most of my info from this board, so there’s that.

Scratch Painter off the list.
-
Shooting guards? Not sure that’s allowed at IU.
-
So you’re saying e-signature? I hear what you’re laying down.

I have zero insider info. I’m as far away from an insider as you can get. But I think there is almost zero chance that Scott Dolson is going to hire Brownell. Why would he do that? There is no one who thinks he would be the best coach for IU. Not even Brownell would likely think that.

Pretty sure it was that Buddy/Guy exchange. We don’t tolerate that around these parts. As for coaches, if we don’t get Stevens, Drew, or someone out of left field like Few or Bennett, McDermott would be my first choice. But coaches like TJ, Buzz, and even Cronin would be good and could win lots with IUs resources. Since the chance IU hires Beard is nonexistent, glad he won’t be dividing the fan base.

I’m not sure I get the “IU fish bowl”. What do we do? We hire bad to mediocre coaches, pay them a **** ton of money, keep them around longer than we should, rinse and repeat. If anything, our standards have dropped to the point where if I were a coach, I’d be wondering why IU has put up with such crappy results for so long.

We are long past the sky is falling and patiently waiting for the Turgeon presser.

Michigan losing at home. Cross May off the list.
-
In fact? You know this how? Look, I’m not saying we are going to get the coach we want. But to say that coaches are uninterested is a fact, then back that up. Who have you spoken with who has said they are not interested?
-
Well, gosh, if your friend knows some people, that’s it. How bout let’s wait and see what coach we get before worrying that IU can’t hire a good coach?
-
Until we make a shitty hire, I look at this as possible good news.

The new “insider” posters are like the hot chicks who worked at Chess King back in the day telling guys they looked great no matter what they put on. You wanted to believe them but deep down, you knew.
-
This is going to sound judgmental, but I can’t take anyone who would be unhappy with Drew seriously. Not after how bad we have been for so long.
-
Some posters here are like cousin Eddie. He’s waiting for a management position.
-
Bennett with UVA NIL money: this is ruining the game Bennett with IU NIL money: let’s roll.
-
If Miller won, no one would give a crap about his “fit”. It’s laughable that a program as bad as ours has been that some are so focused on that. Let’s make winning our culture
-
My point is, IU’s culture is losing. If we don’t hire a particular coach, it should because of what he can’t do on the court. When I see comments about winning press conferences and not a fit for IU’s culture, I have to laugh that some IU fans think we are in a position to care about stuff like that. I don’t want Cronin. But not because of his demeanor.
-
How’s IU doing this year? Or the last decade? Culture of losing. God forbid we change that.
-
Agree. He wins to much for the culture at IU.
-
No, not a hero. And chances are, you both are trolls.
