The NCAA can't do anything. They're powerless and will lose in court if they try. The only way they can get any power back is if they get Congress to give them anti-trust protection like professional sport leagues. I don't see that happening without the athletes also forming a union.

Someone (OSU AD? I don't remember) said that football players were charging for visits. But orders of magnitude less than $500k. I think it was still a lot, though, like $5k.

I was at a BDubs in Lafayette with a group of Purdue fans, one of which was also a Duke fan. Only 1 other IU fan there. I was pretty drunk by the end of the first half but wasn't having much fun. The second half was a blast.

I often wonder what the user name of posters are on other message boards. Some might just be on this one only but lots aren't. A lot of time I recognize the tone and/or style but can't place the name or board. NGW is one of those I wonder about, he seems familiar. I post here and HSN (although not recently) under go iu bb. I don't think his ego allows that to happen. I think he feels that he needs to come back to show that everyone who doubted him was wrong. Of course, he'll fail at that but I don't think he has the self-awareness to realize that he's really not doing a good job.

It looks like the only way to get the team to play hard is to call for Woodson's job. Since most who were calling for him to be fired haven't had their minds changed by a few wins against bad teams, that should continue over the summer and into next season. So I guess we can expect the team to play hard all year next year! Great news.

No, you're getting it wrong. When they win it's because of Mike Woodson's coaching and game planning. When they lose, it's the players' fault. Mike Woodson deserves only credit and adoration, not any criticism at all. Mike Woodson won't answer any questions because it is beneath him to answer questions people have no right to ask.
