Thing is it's just April 7 and we're in a dead period. Portal signings will pick up mid-April, and we've already seen assistants out recruiting, and we now have some guys in the door, while having had some of the bigger names in. I do want to know who all of the assistants are, right there with you on that, but I don't see any issues right now.

Or it’s just that announcing assistants isn’t a priority for DeVries or the program. We want to know who they are but generally there isn’t much publicity given to assistant hires, and here there’s no question assistants have been out recruiting so do we actually care when they’re formally announced? I don’t

It’s mostly discussion, had to find Stu’s “four” post buried in it, not the same, and imo it’s cool to have individual threads welcoming the new guys — and I don’t see a Wilkerson thread despite the above so…

It would really be helpful to have Welcome to IU threads for those confirmed or better 1 Confirmed threwd so we don’t have to scroll endlessly through this thread trying to figure out who’s on the team lol. i’m too lazy to start it though - can someone plz start some kind of confirmed thread??

Yeah. Many are hung up on what Sampson did to IU, but for me, it was the IU pres/admin extreme overkill, following the self-reporting to the self-imposed insane sanctions that deconstructed the program into the dirt, over phone call violations. Sampson then did his time on show cause, came back and has built UH into one of the best bball programs. UH and IU of course run their programs and oversight differently, but there’s no aura of cheating or bad stuff around the UH program and the players love Sampson— and end if the day for me, he’s at least in the conversation for best current college bball coach, the strategy and the buy just a blast to watch. And my middle kid is a senior at UH…. Him getting to experience what I did in 87 would be kinda cool….

UH v Fla is going to be excellent basketball- Great final matchup, such enjoyable ball. I think this is Sampson’s year, but Fla doesn’t get rattled and stopping Clayton? What a game coming

Yeah, I want to see consistency and chemistry with the development of younger players, growing the program with them, while adding strong vet players with team fit. I think that’s what we’re going to see with DeVries

Hybrid for me— and Sampson is the winningest active D1 coach without a NC (which he maybe gets this year). Outstanding bball mind and on-floor x’s and o’s coach
